Frigid New York's BAGS: Obsessions of a Hoardaholic written by Lee Michael Buckman and directed by Brad Calcaterra has only 3 more performances left, Wednesday, March 4 at 10:30 pm, Friday, March 6 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, March 8 at 4:00 pm. All performances will take place at UNDER st. Marks at 94 St. Marks Place.

Oedipus Rex will run April 2 through April 25, 2009 at the Stone Cottage Theatre, 15650 Addison Road, Addison, TX 75001. Lamb?s Players Theatre will follow up its season opener, Room Service, with one of the greatest plays of the American theatre, The Glass Menagerie. The production plays April 10 ? May 24 at Lamb?s Players Theatre in Coronado, with a media opening on Friday, April 17 at 8:00pm.

Broadway darlings Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich are slated to headline Los Angeles? The F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company is pleased to announce the first concert in a new series called New Voices for a Change. The premise behind the concert series is that each concert will feature the music of a young, new musical theatre composer and a portion of the proceeds of each concert will be donated to a local charity. This first concert will feature the music of Scott Alan, one of New York City's finest new composers. Blending musical theater and pop sounds, Mr. Alan creates music with amazing heart and character. With two albums already on the market, ('Dreaming Wide Awake' and 'Keys'), Mr. Alan is well on his way to becoming a very successful composer. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the AIDS Action Comittee of Massachusetts, whose mission is to the stop the HIV/AIDS epidemic by preventing new infections and optimizing the health of those already infected.

Dublin's Abbey Theatre and the Galway-based Druid Theatre are among the winners at the 12th annual Irish Times Theatre Awards. Both theatres won three categories.

Georgia Shakespeare is canceling Shake at the Lake which was scheduled for May 7 - 11 at Piedmont Park. The event is canceled due to financial difficulties. There is hopes that the production will return next year.

The Menier Chocolate Factory will continue its tradition of stand-up comedy with performances from Phil Nichol and Charles Fleischer. Based upon the book by Louis Sachar, Sideways Stories from Wayside School was adapted by the stage by John Olive and is directed by Mark Adams. The show will be performed at the Main Street Theater (Chelsea Market) on Sautrdays April 18 &25 and May 2 & 16 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The show is recommended for Kindergarten-aged kids and up.

Patricia Racette will sing the title role of Puccini?s Madama Butterfly on Tuesday, March 3 and Saturday, March 7 matinee, replacing Cristina Gallardo-Dom?s who is ill. The March 7 performance will be transmitted live to movie theaters in 36 countries around the world as part of The Met: Live in HD series.

Following the success of High School Musical 3, producers recently announced that High School Musical 2 Live on Stage! will be performed throughout the UK. The show will premiere this summer at London's New Wimbledon Theatre on 22 August 2009 and will continue on a four-and-a-half month regional tour.
