Playhouse on the Green, Bridgeport's not-for-profit community theater in residence at a beautiful 228-seat jewel-box theater in the heart of downtown Bridgeport, presents staged readings of 'The Blizzard Plays' on Sunday, March 22 at 7PM at Playhouse on the Green, as part of the 'Page to Stage' New Play Reading Series. An elderly couple losing their mental faculties cause their adult children to lose their minds in the Actors' NET of Bucks County encore production of Joe Doyle's comic drama, The Last Days of the Dinosaurs. Performing Feb. 27 to March 15 at the Heritage Center in Morrisville, the work by Doyle, the nonprofit theatre company's co-founder and playwright in residence, premiered at The NET in 2001 and has been brought back at the urging of patrons who missed it the first time around.

On February 28, 2009 the Courthouse Center for the Arts will be hosting tap auditions from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The auditions will be broken down into two levels. Level one (junior level) is for 8 year olds - 12 year olds (intermediate - beginner advance). Level two (senior level) is for 13 - adults (beginner advance - advance).

University of Nebraska-Lincoln broadcasting lecturer Trina Creighton is giving African American men a voice that is helping others understand social stigmas attached to higher education. Inspired by her graduate thesis, Creighton has created a documentary that features 10 African American men from north Omaha talking about their education paths. Four of the individuals are enrolled at UNL, another graduated in August, and the other five remain in Omaha, with two in prison.

The innovative modern dance troupe, Merce Cunningham Dance Co., will perform two of its works, 'Second Hand' and 'eyeSpace' at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Lied Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. March 7. Widely recognized as the greatest living modern dance choreographer, Cunningham has been praised internationally for decades for his revolutionary work.

The Irish Arts Center, in association with Classical Theatre of Harlem, presents a one-week only special engagement of Donal O'Kelly's The Cambria, directed by Raymond Keane and starring Mr. O'Kelly and Sorcha Fox.
