NativeAliens Announces Adaptation Of MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR

NativeAliens Theatre Collective, now in its thirteenth season, recently announced its upcoming adaptation of William Shakespeare?s ?The Merry Wives of Windsor.? Entitled ?The Merry Wives of Windsor Women?s Correctional Facility,? this subversive look at a classic comic text examines sex, love, and class warfare through the lens of a contemporary women?s prison. The production, which will be directed by Jodi Smith and Yasmine Jahanmir, will run from March 24th-29th at The Access Theatre (380 Broadway, 4th floor).

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues its 2008-09 Season with the World Premiere of Antebellum by Robert O?Hara, author of Insurrection: Holding History, and an OBIE Award winner for directing the Off-Broadway hit, In the Continuum. Directed by Chay Yew, the cast features Woolly Mammoth Company Member Jessica Frances Dukes and Jenna Sokolowski. Antebellum runs March 30 ?
