During Spring 2009 (March ?May), the League of Washington Theatres is again presenting Stages for All Ages, a program that introduces thousands of young people to live, professional theatre throughout the Washington area. This marks the 11th year for this popular program.

NativeAliens Theatre Collective, now in its thirteenth season, recently announced its upcoming adaptation of William Shakespeare?s ?The Merry Wives of Windsor.? Entitled ?The Merry Wives of Windsor Women?s Correctional Facility,? this subversive look at a classic comic text examines sex, love, and class warfare through the lens of a contemporary women?s prison. The production, which will be directed by Jodi Smith and Yasmine Jahanmir, will run from March 24th-29th at The Access Theatre (380 Broadway, 4th floor).

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues its 2008-09 Season with the World Premiere of Antebellum by Robert O?Hara, author of Insurrection: Holding History, and an OBIE Award winner for directing the Off-Broadway hit, In the Continuum. Directed by Chay Yew, the cast features Woolly Mammoth Company Member Jessica Frances Dukes and Jenna Sokolowski. Antebellum runs March 30 ? Actors Theatre of Louisville is about to open its 33rd Humana Festival of New American Plays (March 1 - April 11) made possible by the Humana Foundation Inc. Past Humana Festival plays have gone on to win Pulitzer Prizes or receive regional theatre productions across the country and off-Broadway. Actors Theatre has been a major force in revitalizing American playwriting for the past 30 years in its presentation of the renowned Humana Festival.

Following a critically acclaimed World Premiere at The 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, Razors Edge Productions proudly presents a revival of Zombie, an award-winning solo play by Bill Connington, adapted from the novella by Joyce Carol Oates. Zombie is directed by Thomas Caruso and performed by Bill Connington. Zombie began performances on February 18 and continues through March 29, 2009 in a limited 6-week engagement at the Theatre Row Complex (Studio Theatre), located at 410 West 42 Street between 9 & 10 Avenues in NYC.
