The Attic Ensemble Inc announces its 11th Annual Summer Readings, which is set to take place Tuesday evenings (7:30pm) in July.

Stonewall Country returns to celebrate its 25th Anniversary at Theater at Lime Kiln for four performances, July 9th through 12th at 7:30pm. The musical retelling of the life of Stonewall Jackson premiered at Lime Kiln in 1984, with music by Robin and Linda Williams and the book by then artistic director Don Baker. Baker and the Williams duo are helping recreate the piece that put Lime Kiln on the map as a regional theatre.

Rabble-rousing writer Joe Iconis returns to Joe's Pub, bringing with him his beloved family of musical theater punks. The Joe Iconis Rock and Roll Jamboree is a laid-back, fired-up evening of Iconis tunes, featuring new jams, old faithfuls, and glimpses into the future. Songs of hate and hope, suburbia and pornography, cougars and jailbait, dead people and livin' things, and more sing-alongs than you can shake a glass of whiskey at. Some special guests will join Joe for this, the first leg of his legendary 'Mule Mutation' Tour 2009. So come on down to the Jamboree- it's loud, soft, sweet, nasty, and above all else, bloody as hell. Debut album out later this year.

To further their name in the community, the Carnegie Arts Center will be hosting an open house on Sunday, August 16 from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

The Griot Museum of Black History (formerly known as The Blackworld History Museum) will host, ?Carnaval in July,? a free multicultural, family-focused community festival with food, music, dance, arts and crafts on Saturday, July 11, noon-6 p.m. at The Griot. The festival will feature percussionist David A.N. Jackson; African dance by Mama Lisa of Fundisha Enterprises, roots fusion/neo soul by Mario Pascal; Mexican dance by Kids Mex; stilt walkers from the Nan Foule Mask Society, Glenn ?Papa? Wright, Jr., puppetry and storytelling by Glenn ?Papa? Wright; interactive exhibits from the Magic House, face painting, mask making, food, merchant and information booths. The World Bird Sanctuary will bring a variety of birds, some that represent the countries featured in the exhibit. The festival is free; Griot admission is $5 for adults, $4 for youth 13-17 and $2.50 for children 12 and under.

Paradise Theatre recently about their upcoming season in their newly remodeled theatre. The season is packed with a variety of well known plays and musicals for all to enjoy. As they prepare for this ambitious season, they hope that each of you would take an active part to keep their Gig Harbor Community Theatre thriving.

Faced with the threat of losing its lease, Main Street Theater is turning crisis into opportunity by taking the long-awaited step toward establishing a permanent home. This summer, the theater is launching a campaign entitled ?No Place Like Home,? seeking to raise $3.5 million to purchase and renovate its existing Times Boulevard location in Houston?s Rice Village community.

Team San Jose announced today that they have selected the Nederlander Organization to be the exclusive presenter of touring Broadway musicals and special events at the Center for the Performing Arts. The Inaugural 2009-2010 Season, under the local banner of Broadway San Jose ~ A Nederlander Presentation begins September 15, 2009.

Broadway in Riverside/A Nederlander Presentation, recently announced its inaugural season of great theatre for the entire family at the Fox Performing Arts Center in the City of Riverside. The Nederlander Organization, the national producer and presenter of touring Broadway shows and events, has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Fox Performing Arts Center and its Operator/Manager, William P. Malone; under the aegis of Broadway in Riverside/A Nederlander Presentation - Carl Thompson, General Manager. The Fox Performing Arts Center is scheduled to open in January of 2010.

Jesus Christ Superstar, the first masterpiece from the legendary writing team of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, exploded onto the scene in 1971 changing the world of musical theatre forever.
