The Skidmore College Department of Theater is pleased to announce its Fall 2011 Black Box production, PILGRIMS OF THE NIGHT by Len Jenkin, directed by Alma Becker. Performances are Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st at 8:00PM, Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00PM and 8:00PM, Sunday, October 22nd at 2:00PM only, and Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th at 7:00PM at the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater.

Bringing the best of British theatre to cinemas across the U.S. this fall, NCM Fathom will present a series of four events from the stage of the National Theatre of Great Britain. National Theatre Live (NT Live) will launch its third season on NCM network screens with One Man, Two Guvnors on Thursday, October 20, followed by The Kitchen on Thursday, November 3; Collaborators on Thursday, December 1; and The Comedy of Errors on Thursday, March 1, with additional titles in 2012 to be announced soon. All events will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time. Presented by NT Live, BY Experience and Fathom, the four-part in-theater series will be broadcast to more than 130 additional U.S. movie theaters nationwide through NCM's exclusive Digital Broadcast Network.

MCC THEATER has announced that tickets will go on-sale Monday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. for the remaining two productions of the company's 2011-2012 season: the world premiere of Wild Animals You Should Know and the newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical. Performances for Wild Animals You Should Know begin November 3, 2011. Performances for Carrie begin January 31, 2012. Both will be performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC).

According to published reports, Broadway veterans Barbra Steisand will be honored with the L'Oréal Paris Legend Award at Elle's Women in Hollywood celebration. Additional honorees include: Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Naomi Watts Jennifer Aniston, Frieda Pinto, Evan Rachel Wood, and Stacey Snider. Additionally, Elizabeth Olsen will receive the Calvin Klein Collection Emerging Star Spotlight Award. The celebration will be held October 17 at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel.

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust today announced that Lisa D'Amour and Melissa James Gibson will each be presented with the Steinberg Playwright Award at the 4th Annual Steinberg Playwright 'Mimi' Awards. The Mimi Awards promote theater as a vital part of our culture by nurturing American playwrights and encouraging the development and production of new American plays.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that three-time Tony Award nominee Dee Hoty (Footloose; Mamma Mia) and TV and stage regulars Samantha Mathis (American Psycho; 33 Variations) and Concetta Tomei ('Providence'; Lincoln Center's Clean House), will join the next cast of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Current cast member Zuzanna Szadkowski ('Gossip Girl') will stay on, also joining previously announced actress and TV personality La La Anthony ('La La's Full Court Life') in a run that begins Wednesday, October 5 through November 6, 2011 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

CHICAGO has just announced that past American Idol judge and current Roxie, Kara DioGuardi will judge a new contest titled 'Cellblock Idol,' in which fans can sing their favorite CHICAGO tunes and submit them through Youtube. The John W. Engeman Theater's CAMELOT previews began on Thursday, with the official opening tomorrow at 8:00 p.m., running through November 6. Winner of four Tony Awards, Camelot is based on 'The Once and Future King' by T.H. White with Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and Music by Frederick Loewe.

The American Theatre Wing raised more than $550,000 at their annual Gala last night. All of the proceeds will go towards The Wing's education and outreach programs. The event was held at New York's legendary Plaza Hotel in honor of Sir Howard Stringer (Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sony Corporation and longtime American Theatre Wing Board Member), and included a special tribute to Douglas B. Leeds (Former President and dear friend of The Wing).
