Opened in 1921 and originally named the Hennepin, Orpheum Theatre is a grand 2,579 capacity entertainment venue located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Billed as the largest vaudeville house in the country when opened, its first performers included the Marx Brothers, and with attendance of over 70,000 guests during the opening week run, the theatre was destined for great things from the very beginning! After the Orpheum was sold by world-famous singer, songwriter, and musician Bob Dylan (who owned it from 1979-1988) to the City of Minneapolis, the theatre was renovated and reopened in 1993 with a concert from Heart. The Orpheum Theatre stage has hosted some of the biggest acts in the world on its stage, including Muddy Waters, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Waits, Prince, Motörhead, R.E.M., Elvis Costello, The Cure, Metallica, Morrissey, Black Sabbath, John Denver, Jethro Tull, Phish, Oasis, Neil Young, Marilyn Manson, Tori Amos, Pink and many, many more!
