The Phantom of the Opera Revival Tour 2013

Wishing Phantom was somehow here again? Phans can rejoice, because rehearsals are officially underway for the West End return of The Phantom of the Opera. The musical will open at Her Majesty's Theatre on July 27.

The North American tour of Phantom of the Opera has made its way across the country with stops in Dallas, Cleveland, Denver and more!

Emma Grimsley will assume the role of 'Christine Daae' beginning August 7 when the spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, currently on tour in North America, starts performances in Honolulu, HI for the first time in almost 25 years.

Could Michael Jackson have played the Phantom? In an interview with Rolling Stone, Andrew Lloyd Webber says the late singer once had his eye on the role early in the run of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

Based on Gaston Leroux's 1910 horror novel of the same name, The Phantom of the Opera follows a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. Sheltered from the outside world in an underground cavern, the lonely, romantic man tutors and composes operas for Christine Daae, a gorgeous young soprano star-to-be. As Christine's star rises, and a handsome suitor from her past enters the picture, the Phantom grows mad, terrorizing the opera house owners and company with his murderous ways. Still, Christine finds herself drawn to the mystery man.

Coming back to the Durham Performing Arts Center from February 28th-March 11th is the new national touring production of The Phantom of the Opera! I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing actress Eva Tavares, who stars in the iconic role of Christine Daae.
