Miracles, wild women, beautiful music and lots of laughs will entertain and enlighten audiences during the upcoming 2009 season at Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, New York. The nonprofit professional theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Joe Brancato and Executive Director Andrew M. Horn, today announced the four plays selected for the theatre's 32nd season as well as a freeze on prices.

Woodbury Community Theatre will be holding open auditions for their summer production of Narnia ? the Musical, directed by Laurie Swigart. Auditions are open for youth ages 8 -18 as well as for adults to fill roles for this wonderful musical play featuring 10 males and 6 females, plus up to 12 extras to dramatize the various good/evil Narnian creatures. In addition to the on-stage roles, we are also looking for people to help with various behind-the-scene jobs such as set crew.

'The Cody Rivers Show' will be returning to Beavercreek Community Theatre to premiere it's newest show, 'Meanwhile Everywhere.' The sketch comedy duo, which includes Mike Mathieu, a 1996 Beavercreek High School graduate, and Andrew Connor, a Columbus native, will bring their antics to the BCT stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2. For over forty years George Faison has reigned as one of the dance and theatre world's most respected director/choreographers. This season, AILEY II, the young and gifted second company of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, will feature Mr. Faison?s highly acclaimed ballet 'Movin' On.' ArtsWest is set to present Gutenberg! The Musical April 15 - May 17. Gutenberg! The Musical is a loving spoof in which two aspiring playwrights perform a backers? audition for their new project: A big, splashy musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg (not Steve Guttenberg from the cinema classic Short Circuit). With an unending supply of enthusiasm, Bud and Doug sing all the songs and play all the parts in their ?historical? epic, with the hope that one of the producers in attendance will give them a Broadway contract ? fulfilling their sky-high, if simple-minded, dreams.

The Colony Theatre Company presents the fifth and final production of its 2008 ? 2009 season, the Los Angeles premiere of the Off-Broadway, Smash-Hit Musical Thriller, No Way to Treat a Lady, book, music and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen, (based on the novel by William Goldman) and co-directed by West Hyler and Shelley Butler. This season the Dayton Playhouse has made quite a few improvements to their schedule and pricing. Their popular FlipSide series has been such a success that they?ve incorporated it directly into their MainStage series. This allows them to bring you ftheir general audience shows and two avant-garde shows within the format of their regular season. All shows will be full productions. Musicals will be on stage for three consecutive weekends, while plays will be on stage for two consecutive weekends.

Uptown Players announces the limited return of The Facts Of Life: The Lost Episode at the KD Studio Theatre. The show will return for three nights only Sunday, April 5 - Tuesday, April 7, 2009, before the cast sails off to perform the show on an RSVP Cruise.

42nd Street Moon?s 2008/09 season draws to a close with Maureen McVerry starring in Cy Coleman?s rip-roaring musical treat, Wildcat, book by N. As a part of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre?s Emerging Artist Series in Musical Theater Playwriting, a reading of the musical Dani Girl, will be performed Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30pm on the Theatre?s stage. This reading, free and open to the public, was written by Michael Kooman with Book and Lyrics by Christopher Dimond.

Denver's Avenue Theater (417 E. 17th Ave.) recently announced the extension of LuAnn Buckstein and Pamela Clifton's 'That Woman Show'. Originally scheduled to close April 11, 'That Woman Show' will now run until May 31.

Fidelity FutureStage®, the producers of Billy Elliot the Musical and Elton John today announced the first ever Fidelity FutureStage® Playwriting Contest ? a unique opportunity for area high school students to become Broadway?s youngest playwrights.

Accomplished actor, director, producer and distribution executive Paul Borghese has joined Off-Broadway's Blood Type: RAGU as co-producer. Written and performed by Frank Ingrasciotta, Blood Type: RAGU is also presented by Flying Machine Productions at the newly renovated Actors' Playhouse, where the production opened on March 5th to rave reviews.

Leslie Jordan's acclaimed solo show, My Trip Down The Pink Carpet, scheduled for a New York engagement this spring, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict, it was announced by producer Bruce Robert Harris. Mr. Harris added, 'we'll be looking forward to rolling out the pink carpet for Leslie and making an announcement here in New York before the end of Summer.'
