Trinity Church Ministry of the Arts presents the American Songbook Does Time, which is set to open May 7th, 2009. The show is directed by Paul Allard and has musical direction by Al Dentson III. The show will be performed at the Trinity Church at 7:30 pm on May 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th. There is a $15 suggested donation ($10 for seniors and military). CRAZY FOR YOU Comes To The Theatre At The Center 5/7 - 6/14

Their music became the soundtrack for the Twentieth Century and saw America through some of her darkest days of the Great Depression and the tumultuous years of World War II. George and Ira Gershwin, the song-writing brothers penned such standards as ?They Can?t Take That Away from Me,? ?Embraceable You,? and ?I Got Rhythm.? Unfortunately, the books behind the musicals for which they were writing could not hold a candle to the music. That is, until Ken Ludwig stepped in more than 50 years after George Gershwin died to rework the story behind the Gershwin?s Girl Crazy (1930). The result was the 1992 Tony Award winning?including Best Musical?Broadway smash hit musical Crazy for You, which will be on the Theatre at the Center stage, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, May 7 through June 14. Press opening will be May 14 at 8 p.m.

Carrie Lezotte Added To Flint Club ?Quiet on the Set? Film Symposium

Flint Club is pleased to add Executive Producer and Director of One of Us Films, Carrie Lezotte (www.oneofusfilms.org) to the expert line- up of the ?Quiet on the Set? Fim Symposium. Ms. Lezotte brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having written, produced and directed dozens of short format programs, including dramatic narratives, documentaries, and industrials. Her recent work includes the website www.oicmovies.com, which is built entirely around American Sign Language Videos for their Sign Language Community. Two of the projects that she has overseen for One of Us Films have received the Michigan Film Tax Incentive. She will help participants explore ways to apply their skills to these types of nontraditional productions. She will join Ben Cain-Actor (recently playing roles in Heroes and CSI: Miami), Alex Grossman-Director (www.menonthestreet.com), Michael Ramsdell- Producer (www.underthehoodproductions.com) and Sultan Sharief (www.bilalstand.com) of Ann Arbor, MI who will present workshops on acting, improvisation, producing, directing ,production crews and media/industrials. They will also expound on their experience in the industry and share tips from an insider?s point of view.

The Willows Theatre Company brings back the ?80s (as if they?d ever left) with its production of The Wedding Singer, the musical comedy based on the hit 1998 film that starred Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The musical version has music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, with book by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy. Ryan Weible directs the Willows Theatre production, with choreography by Gia Solari-Welch, and music direction by Tim Hanson. Ryan Drummond stars as the wedding singer, Robbie Hart, with Sarah Aili as his gal Julia. The Willows production runs May 11 ? June 14 at the Willows mainstage, 1975 Diamond Boulevard in Concord.
