The Marsh is pleased to announce a Marsh Rising workshop performance of Angela Neff?s new solo show, Picnics at the Asylum. The play describes what it was like growing up in a large catholic family with a father who went from being the funniest Dad in Silicon Valley to the funniest street person on San Jose?s Skid Row. Neff takes us on a hilarious, outlandish and poignant journey, full of fireworks, psychedelic sunglasses and rockin' church services, as she examines the relationship of madness and love.

PINOCCHIO The Original Italian Musical On Tour In Korea In 8/09

An Italian musical will be staged abroad in its original version: ?Pinocchio? ? written by Saverio Marconi and Pierluigi Ronchetti, with music by Dodi Battaglia, Red Canzian and Roby Facchinetti (famous in Italy as the pop band POOH) and lyrics by Stefano D?Orazio and Valerio Negrini ? will be on stage at the Opera Theatre of Seoul Arts Center from August 7th to 23rd 2009. The director Saverio Marconi is just working to a new edition fitted for an international audience and said in a statement ?This is a milestone in Compagnia della Rancia?s history: two turning points will happen with only a few months between them: an original Italian musical staged in Korea in August and Cats? Italian edition première in Rome in October.?
