Treachery, jealousy, banishment, escape and multiple disguises all lead to a hilarious romantic romp in the forest of Arden. The daughter of a banished duke, Rosalind, flees the court with her cousin Celia. Once in the wild wood, she takes on the guise of a boy in order to advise her heart's desire, Orlando, and 'cure' him of the madness and foolery of Love. Good luck!

Photo Flash: BOYS' LIFE's Sold Out Run At Zombie Joe's Ends 10/3; Moves To Sky Lab On 10/9September 28, 2009Doesn't Suck Productions, in association with Vox Box Arts Collective, announces their hit production of Howard Korder's Boys' Life, which opened Friday, September 18, completes its sold out run at Zombie Joe's Underground Theater in the NoHo on October 3. The production will immediately transfer to the Sky Lab Theatre in Hollywood for a four week run, beginning Friday, October 9.
Photo Flash: Chekhov's IVANOV Hits The SiNNERMAN Ensemble On 10/1; Previews Begin 9/30September 28, 2009SiNNERMAN Ensemble presents Anton Chekhov's "Ivanov," in the first professional production of a contemporary American language adaptation by Sheldon Patinkin, who also directs, featuring eight ensemble members in a passion-filled production of this classic story that swings wildly from comedy to tragedy. In a community obsessed with gossip and greed, the brilliant Ivanov has fallen out of love with his wife and his friends and bankrupted his land, only to be dangerously attracted to the beautiful young daughter of his creditor. Chekhov's most accessible play asks the burning question "How do you live without hope?" Patinkin is Chair Emeritus of the Theater Department of Columbia College, and Artistic Consultant to The Second City and Steppenwolf Theatre. "Ivanov" runs about two hours and thirty minutes with one intermission. SiNNERMAN, formed out of a Steppenwolf Theatre summer program, is spelled with all caps except for the "i", and is named after the Nina Simone song.
SHOW BOAT And SIGNATURE SINGS Cabaret Show Among Signature Theatre's Upcoming October And November EventsSeptember 25, 2009Signature Theatre, winner of the 2009 Regional Theatre Tony Award®, continues its 20th anniversary season in October and November with the two types of musical productions for which the company has become renowned: musical theater and cabaret performances. November 10, 2009 through January 17, 2010, Signature reinvents the 1927 classic American musical, Show Boat, with Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer creating an intimate new staging in the 300-seat MAX Theatre, complete with a special new approved script and new orchestrations. Cabaret shows take over Signature?s other house, the 120-seat ARK Theatre, when Signature begins a year-long ?best of? salute to its 20 years of musicals. From October 13 through 18, the cabaret offering Signature Sings: 1989-1994 will feature music from Company, Wings, Assassins, and Into the Woods. Cabaret performances will again return from November 17 through 22 with Signature Sings: 1995-1999, featuring select songs from First Lady Suite, Cabaret, A Grand Night for Singing, Passion, The Rink, Sunday in the Park With George, Working, The Fix, A Little Night Music, Over and Over, and Tell Me on a Sunday.
