Lorenzo-The Man Who Wrote Mozart- is set to premiere off-Broadway on October 5, presented by Maximus Productions, as part of the 2009 New York Musical Theater Festival.
Last night, History Theatre was honored by the Twin Cities theatre community with the an IVEY Award for its production of Jeffrey Hatcher's play Tyrone & Ralph which premiered in the fall of 2008. The play, which was directed by Ron Peluso and starred Steve Hendrickson as Tyrone Guthrie and Mark Benninghofen as Ralph Rapson, re-imagined the dynamic relationship between the two artists who shaped the creation of the original Guthrie theater.

Rich Little, who premieres his new one-many comedy about the Hollywood life of Jimmy Stewart, made his rounds at Ruidoso service clubs Tuesday afternoon, enticing club members to come out to the Spencer at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 & Saturday, Sept. 26. Rich will also be the host of a luncheon benefiting the Wounded Warrior Fund at the Spencer on Sunday, Sept. 27 at noon. Tickets are available to all events. This month, the Aspen Writers' Foundation (AWF) launches the second Big Read Roaring Fork Valley. The Big Read is designed to restore reading to the center of American culture. This community-based reading campaign aims to get as many people as possible in a given area reading and talking about the same book at the same time.
