Whilst Kate has advised many of the details of conference already through previous Spotlights, Zone One organising team have a few surprises up their sleeve for those who intend being there. They encourage you all to get your numbers attending sorted out and registrations in early for, if indications they are receiving are correct, they could see a record attendance. They are aware of a number of musical theatre people who regularly attended conference in the 1980?s and 1990?s and haven?t been since who are making a special effort to attend the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17th with a ½ hour set of traditional favorites performed by Acorn?s Producing Director Michael Levine and actors Keith Anctil, Stephanie Ross and Laura Graham. Following this set, audience members will be invited to replace members of the company on stage during the next hour of material, providing for a constantly changing repertoire of performers. This participation, however, will be purely voluntary as no one will be asked to come up on stage unless they volunteer. The event is designed to provide a fun forum for interested members of the community to see Acorn?s new theater space and meet members of Acorn's teaching faculty, as three out of the company?s four teachers will be performing.
