Fountain House, an internationally recognized organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with mental illness, released news today that noted actor and Academy-Award nominated screenwriter Dan Futterman will join celebrated actresses Joan Allen and Lauren Ambrose in the previously announced staged reading of Daughter of the Queen of Sheba, the acclaimed memoir by Jacki Lyden that recounts her experience growing up with a colorful and dramatic mother living with manic depression. The one-night-only event will take place on Monday, October 17, 2011, from 6:30 to10:00 pm, at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, located at 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in New York City. Proceeds will benefit Fountain House, with support from NPR.

Oscar® and Emmy® nominated actress Rosie Perez will guest star in one episode of the fourth season of NURSE JACKIE. Perez will play a patient named Jules with an unusual diagnosis. Production on season four is currently underway in New York for a 2012 premiere.

Ambassador Andrew Young today joined Samuel Nappi, Ruth Hendel and Steven Hendel to announce that Moments with Dr. King is preparing for preliminary stagings prior to a Broadway production, and that Congressman John Lewis has joined the team as an advisor. The announcement was initially scheduled to take place in August, coinciding with the anniversary of Dr. King's speech at 1963's March on Washington and the dedication of the National Memorial to Martin Luther King in the capitol city, but it was postponed due to Hurricane Irene. The announcement was made today in tribute to Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth -- a leading civil rights pioneer, co-founder of Dr. King's primary civil rights organization, and a central figure in the groundbreaking events with Dr. King in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963 -- who passed away yesterday.

According to Published reports, Broadway-bound Darren Criss, will make an appearance during the upcoming Space Tour for Team StarKid- the production toupe that he helped found in 2009. Featuring performances from A VERY POTTER MUSICAL, A VERY POTTER SEQUEL, ME AND MY DICK, STARSHIP, and more, the show will feature Criss during both New York shows at Iring Hall on November 26. The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, is pleased to announce additional casting for BROADWAY ORIGINALS! on Sunday, October 16nd at 3PM. The matinee is part of The Town Hall's Seventh Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which is now being presented In a new format of three consecutive weeks. The additional two evenings are Elaine Stritch At The Town Hall on Saturday, October 22nd and A Tribute To Judy Garland and Gene Kelly on Friday, October 28th, all created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.

The new film Footloose will be expanded into a 'full-blown movie musical' from the earlier film with songs. In addition to starring a young Kevin Bacon as Ren, Footloose also starred Lori Singer as Ariel. It was originally written by Dean Pitchford. A Broadway musical version of Footloose was previously staged in 1998. The remake will be released in theatres on October 14.

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, 'Real Steel' stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
