On November 17, Macy's Herald Square kicked-off the season with a heavenly evening of holiday magic at the annual Christmas window unveiling on Broadway Boulevard. The event featured an appearance by special guest, Whoopi Goldberg, along with the divine cast members of the hit Broadway musical, Sister Act, including Tony Award® nominee, Patina Miller. Steppenwolf Theatre Company has just announced ensemble member Tracy Letts will join the cast of Penelope, by Enda Walsh and directed by ensemble member Amy Morton. Penelope also features ensemble members Ian Barford and Yasen Peyankov with Scott Jaeck and Logan Vaughn. Ensemble member John Mahoney recently left the production, due to an unexpected death in his family.

New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse is currently presenting Irving Berlin's White Christmas, directed by Marc Bruni, with choreography by Randy Skinner and musical direction by Steven Freeman. Pierrepont Finch in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, performing a strictly limited three week engagement from January 3, through January 22, 2012. He will replace Daniel Radcliffe, who will play his final performance on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced Gavin Creel as "Steven Kodaly", Tony Award® winner Jane Krakowski as "Ilona Ritter", three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara as "Amalia Balas", Josh Radnor as "Georg", Peter Bartlett as "Headwaiter", Tony nominee Michael McGrath as "Ladislav Sipos", Tony nominee Rory O'Malley as "Arpad Laszlo" and four-time Tony nominee Victor Garber as "Mr. Maraczek" leading an all-star cast in a one-night only performance of SHE LOVES ME. The romantic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof).

Following on from Sunday in the Park with George, Little Shop of Horrors, La Cage aux Folles, A Little Night Music and Sweet Charity, the Menier Chocolate Factory will present Pippin - music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson. Pippin begins previews on Tuesday, 22 November, with the Press Night on Wednesday, 7 December. It runs until Saturday, 25 February, 2012.

Nick Lloyd Webber, son of Andrew Lloyd Webber, will see his musical adaptation of THE LITTLE PRINCE run from December 1 through January 15 at the Lyric Belfast. Directed by Richard Croxford, the production is co-written by James D. Reid. On the upcoming opening, Lloyd Webber commented that he is: "Very nervous. In terms of the pressure, I'm very aware there's going to be some... attention, but I'd just like to think that the show will be judged on its own merits. That's all anyone can ask for."

According to Deadline.com, the CW has picked up a new comedy pilot from producing team Craig Zadan and Neil Meron titled 'Swordfighting.' THepilot was written by Ben McMillan and Josh Greenbaum, and is about 'two young couples who have been best friends and neighbors for years and whose friendship is put to the test when when the two wives reveal they've fallen in love (with each other).'
