Broadway In Chicago just announced three additional shows: SISTER ACT and DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL will be part of the upcoming 2012 Broadway In Chicago Season Series and LES MISÉRABLES will be an Off-Season Special.

Sundance Institute has announced the first-ever New York benefit celebrating its Theatre Program, the leading play development program in the United States. Taking place on the evening of Monday, March 12 at venues in lower Manhattan, the event will be hosted by Sundance Institute President & Founder Robert Redford and feature performances by some of the theatre world's top talent, who are also Sundance Institute alumni.

The LIKEME Organization, founded by country music recording artist and Kansas native Chely Wright, will open its first LIKEME Lighthouse in Kansas City on March 10, 2012. Located in Midtown Kansas City, the Lighthouse is a welcoming and safe community center for the LGBT community, their families and straight allies. Doors will be open Monday-Saturday, 11AM to 7PM, and on Sunday from 12PM to 6PM.

Signature Theatre Company has just announced a one-week extension for EDWARD ALBEE'S THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE, directed by David Esbjornson. The production will now play through Sunday, April 1 and is the inaugural production in The End Stage Theatre at the company's new home The Pershing Square Signature Center. The production will open on Monday, March 5. Tickets during the extension week are $75 each. Signature announced yesterday that Katori Hall's HURT VILLAGE has also been extended, and will now play in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre through March 25.

In SEMINAR, four aspiring young novelists (Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park) sign up for private writing classes with Leonard (Mr. Rickman), an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this provocative new comedy. Continuing its reinvigoration, The Pearl Theatre Company has signed a 20-year lease on 555 West 42nd Street, the venue recently vacated by Signature Theatre Company, J.R. Sullivan, The Pearl's Artistic Director, announced today. The Pearl will inaugurate its permanent home with its 29th season, beginning this fall. Denham Wolf, a firm specializing in providing real estate services to cultural and other nonprofit organizations, served as The Pearl's broker and consultant in this transaction.

American actor Zach Braff (Scrubs and Garden State) just made his UK stage acting debut in a new comedy, All New People. The witty play, written by Braff, will be directed by award-winning Peter DuBois. All New People opened at the Duke of York's Theatre on 22 February 2012. Check out photos from opening night below!

The Marsh presents Charlie Varon & Jeri Lynn Cohen's FWD: Life Gone Viral, coming back April 19, 2012! FWD: LIFE GONE VIRAL is a comedy that skewers the brave new world of Internet exhibitionism. Cohen and Varon play an oncologist, her patient, their ex-spouses and an expert commentator each. Marriage, divorce, child-rearing, terminal illness, transmogrified flies and beef jerky all find their way into the play.

On last night's season finale of Bravo's 'It's a Brad, Brad World,' Brad Goreski got a surprise from boyfriend Gary Janetti, as he and many of his friends performed the Act 1 finale of Les MIserables- 'One Day More.' The newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical, had its first preview on January 31, 2012 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The show will open officially on March 1, 2012. Seth Rudetsky's DISASTER, A 1970's disaster movie …musical; written by Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick, directed/choreographed by Denis Jones with music direction by Steve Marzullo, due to popular demand will continue to play at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street). Stephen Byrd, Alia Jones and Anthony Lacavera just announced that Ms. Carmen DeLavallade will join the cast of their much anticipated production of A Streetcar Named Desire. Ms. DeLavallade will join the cast led by Blair Underwood as Stanley, Nicole Ari Parker as Blanche, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella and Wood Harris as Mitch, completing the cast of Broadway's A Streetcar Named Desire. This production of A Streetcar Named Desire will take over the Broadhurst Theatre beginning its limited run on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 and will celebrate its opening Sunday, April 22, 2012.

On Friday March 30, 2012, The Trevor Project's Trevor NextGen in celebrating the third annual Spring Fling event benefitting the organization's life-saving work for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Hundreds of young professionals are expected to attend this exciting event at the Bowery Hotel (335 Bowery) in New York City. The New Group will present the world premiere of An Early History of Fire, a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright David Rabe. Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Deema Aitken, Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Official Opening Night is set for Monday, April 23 at 7:00 PM. Lily Rabe, who was previously slated to star in the play will no longer be taking part in the production.

TOPHER GRACE and OLIVIA THIRLBY will co-star in Second Stage Theatre's production of Paul Weitz's world premiere comedy, LONELY, I'M NOT, directed by Trip Cullman. Preview performances are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 10 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). The production will officially open on Monday, May 7. Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced in Williamstown today the roster of Main Stage and Nikos Stage productions for the 2012 Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) Season, the Festival's 58th season and second under Ms. Gersten's leadership. The Main Stage Season will kick off with a production of Oscar Wilde's classic The Importance of Being Earnest as you've never seen it before, directed by Tony Award-winner David Hyde Pierce (an alum of the Festival's training programs, making his WTF directorial debut), playing from June 26 - July 14, 2012. A new translation of Ivan Turgenev's A Month in the Country, directed by Tony Award-winner Richard Nelson (James Joyce's The Dead) has also been added to the Main Stage line-up, from August 1 - August 19, 2012. On the Nikos Stage, WTF veteran Jessica Stone (A Funny Thing...Forum) directs Neil Simon's comedy Last of the Red Hot Lovers, playing from July 11 - July 22, 2012, and the World Premiere of Olivier Award-winner Katori Hall's (The Mountaintop) WHADDABLOODCLOT!!!, will run, in association with Signature Theatre, from August 8 - 19, 2012.
