The University of Montana School of Theatre & Dance is pleased to offer The Arabian Nights,an ambitious collection of ancient stories from the Middle East as reimagined by one of today's most provocative theatre artists. The Magnet Theater presents The Fourth Annual New York Musical Improv Festival from October 4-7. Over 100 performers from as far as Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Washington DC and as close as Broadway, NYC will converge on the Magnet Theater stage to create fully improvised musical performances - ranging from traditional musical theatre fare to adrenaline-pumping rap battles.

The box office will open for the Broadway revival of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) on Tuesday, September 18th at 10am. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS will begin its limited run with previews on Tuesday, October 16th and an official opening on Sunday, November 11.

Ghostlight Records will celebrate the release of the Original Cast Recording of Barry Wyner's new musical CALVIN BERGER with a concert at Joe's Pub the evening before the release - next Monday, September 24, 2012 at 7pm. Just added to the concert lineup are Curt Hansen (Next to Normal), F. Michael Haynie (Dogfight), Hayley Podschun (Chaplin), and Tony nominee Tim Jerome (Tarzan, Me and My Girl). Happy Birthday, Constantine Maroulis! 'American Idol' finalist Maroulis earned a 2009 Best Actor Tony Award nomination for portraying Drew, an aspiring musician with pipes of steel in the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages. He originated the role in the Off-Broadway production at New World Stages in 2008. He has also appeared on Broadway in The Wedding Singer, Off-Broadway in Jacques Brel..., and the national tour of RENT. He is starring in the Broadway-bound national tour of Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde with recording artist Deborah Cox (Broadway's Aida) as Lucy.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series debuted a new concept called "Portrait of an Artist," featuring actor/director/painter Steve Bakunas. The multi-talented artist conducted an intimate interview with actress Linda Lavin, while painting her portrait on the historic Birdland stage. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the West End production of Blood Brothers, which has been running at The Phoenix Theatre for almost 24 years was set to close on October 27. Now, according to Whatsonstage.com, the show will now close on November 10.

Directed by Tony® Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony® Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on Wednesday, March 28, with an official opening night on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Tickets are now on sale through January 6, 2013. The National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will play a strictly limited 12-week engagement from now through November 25, 2012 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Previews began on September 14 for the RTC presentation of Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge as "Cyrano" in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac. Clemence Poesy will make her Broadway debut as "Roxane" and Broadway veteran Patrick Page will play 'Comte De Guiche.' The show will open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre and run through November 25, 2012. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Fall 2012 season with the return engagement of Tony Award-winning actress and singer BETTY BUCKLEY. In an exclusive four-week run, Ms. Buckley will premiere her new collection of songs "The Other Women: The Vixens of Broadway." She will perform highlights from some of Broadway's most popular shows, but will celebrate the second female leads, who have introduced classics like "When You're Good to Mama" (Chicago), Another Suitcase In Another Hall (Evita), "I Know Things Now (Into the Woods), "Ribbons Down My Back" (Hello, Dolly!), "Whatever Lola Wants" (Damn Yankees) and "The Miller's Son" (A Little Night Music).
