The Lab Closes 2009/10 Script-In-Hand Series Season 6/2

The Lab, a joint venture of Plan-B and Meat & Potato Theatres, concludes its 2009/10 Script-In-Hand Series on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 7pm in the Studio Theatre at the Rose Wagner. It will feature plays by Lab playwrights as well as be directed by Lab directors.

This piece sports thirteen original numbers written by the team of William Electric Black and Gary Schreiner, both Emmy-winners. There's an ensemble of ten actors and a three-piece live band. American Stage Theatre Company Celebrates 25 Years In The Park Through 6/3

American Stage Theatre Company and the St. Petersburg Museum of History have partnered to celebrate the theatre's 25th anniversary of American Stage in the Park with the premiere of the exhibit, 'A Celebration of 25 Years of American Stage in the Park,' running through June 3. Tickets are $8 to tour the entire museum. Patrons will receive a $2 discount if they present an American Stage in the Park ticket stub at the box office.

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Opera present a Concert Version of 'Elijah' by Felix Mendelssohn from April 30th to May 2nd. 'Elijah' by Mendelssohn is a dramatic story of the prophet Elijah as he summons the people to righteousness, performs miracles, and struggles against idol-worshipping. He confronts the wicked queen Jezebel. It ends as Elijah rises to heaven in a fiery chariot.

Marking 45 years since the assassination of Malcolm X, Composer Anthony Davis, librettist Thulani Davis, and scenarist Christopher Davis will offer insights on their inspiration and creative process.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in his first free Memorial Day Concert, Monday, May 31, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, Amsterdam Avenue at 112th Street. This will be the 19th annual free Memorial Day Concert offered by the New York Philharmonic, a tradition begun in 1992 as a gift to the people of New York City. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Music will also be piped out onto the adjacent Pulpit Green, weather permitting.

KD Actors Conservatory Announces Children and Teen Classes 5/1

The children classes are for ages 4 to 6 while the teen classes are for age 12 to 16, which two levels depending on experience.
