Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival Concludes June 27th

Beginning back on May 27th and concluding on June 27th, the Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival features a diverse array of cabaret offerings in a 5-week series of performances. The Festival is comprised of diverse offerings by the Bay Area's hardest-working musical theatre performers and features salon evenings, adult-oriented burlesque, and time-honored cabaret performances. The Festival takes place at the Eureka Theatre at 215 Jackson St. (btwn. Battery & Front Sts.).

They will be playing selections from Massey's new album, 'Vibrainium.'

Roger Waters' The Wall Live Tour Adds Shows in Chicago, Boston, Oakland, and LA

In response to overwhelming fan demand for tickets to Roger Waters' upcoming North American concert tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original release of The Wall, a final four shows have been added to the production's North American itinerary. The tour will stop in Chicago at the United Center on September 24th, in Boston at the TD Garden on October 3rd, in Oakland at the Oracle Arena on December 3rd, and in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on December 5th.

David Broza is set to perform LIVE at (Le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street) on Monday, June 14 in support of his recent release Night Dawn: The Unpublished Poetry of Townes Van Zandt. The 12-song set was produced by David Broza and G.E. Smith (Hall & Oates, Saturday Night Live) and features 10 previously unreleased lyrics and poems written by the late Townes Van Zandt-one cover of the last song Van Zandt wrote and one instrumental Broza wrote for Van Zandt.

Mercury Baroque Tour Europe Staring 9/18

Mercury Baroque will become the first Houston-based orchestra to tour Europe in nearly 10 years when it reprises its popular production of Lully's opera Armide in Paris in September, 2010. The Paris production of Armide will feature the same cast and musicians as Mercury's previous production in Houston in May of 2009 and also marks Mercury Baroque's first European performances since the ensemble's inception 10 years ago. This special production of Armide is a unique collaboration between Mercury Baroque's Artistic Director Antoine Plante and renowned Stage Director Pascal Rambert, whose Theatre de Gennevilliers will host the performances. Armide stars Isabelle Cals in the title role, Zachary Wilder as Renaud, and Sumner Thompson as Hidraot/Haine. Performances begin in Paris on September 18th, 2010.
