Beginning back on May 27th and concluding on June 27th, the Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival features a diverse array of cabaret offerings in a 5-week series of performances. The Festival is comprised of diverse offerings by the Bay Area's hardest-working musical theatre performers and features salon evenings, adult-oriented burlesque, and time-honored cabaret performances. The Festival takes place at the Eureka Theatre at 215 Jackson St. (btwn. Battery & Front Sts.).

The Shrine (2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd) hosts The Nue Jazz Project on Wednesday, June 16th at 8 pm. The Nue Jazz Project is lead by drumist Chris Massey with Benjamin Drazen on saxaphone, Donald Malloy on trumpet, Evgeny Lebedev on piano, and David Ostrem on bass. They will be playing selections from Massey's new album, 'Vibrainium.'

FUERZA BRUTA: LOOK UP hosts 'Girls' Night Out' on Thursday, June 10th at 8 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre (20 Union Sq. East at 15th St.). In a unique twist, this 'Girls Night Out' features the men of FUERZA BRUTA at the center of the action (and in one of the show's signature scenes - a mylar pool suspended just inches above the audience).

In response to overwhelming fan demand for tickets to Roger Waters' upcoming North American concert tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original release of The Wall, a final four shows have been added to the production's North American itinerary. The tour will stop in Chicago at the United Center on September 24th, in Boston at the TD Garden on October 3rd, in Oakland at the Oracle Arena on December 3rd, and in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on December 5th.

On Monday, June 28th, the Comedy Store (8433 W. Sunset Blvd) presents 'Town Without Pity. The group pays tribute to Gene Pitney, an pop star of the 1960's. The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower (21 South Eutaw Street) presents Joe Dennison's KARKOVICE from June 23rd to the 26th. The one-act play will be in Studio 21 at the Tower at 8 pm during the run. Tickets are $15 and can be purchase on-line at brownpapertickets.com.

The Cornelia Street Café (29 Cornelia St.) hosts the New York Book Festival at 6 p.m. and Michael Bates' Outside Sources at 8:30 p.m. Admission to the New York Book Festival is free but patrons are encouraged to buy a book and visit the bar. There is a $10 cover for the Outside Sources.

David Broza is set to perform LIVE at (Le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street) on Monday, June 14 in support of his recent release Night Dawn: The Unpublished Poetry of Townes Van Zandt. The 12-song set was produced by David Broza and G.E. Smith (Hall & Oates, Saturday Night Live) and features 10 previously unreleased lyrics and poems written by the late Townes Van Zandt-one cover of the last song Van Zandt wrote and one instrumental Broza wrote for Van Zandt.

Onesock Productions presents Paul Zunno Solo Acoustic Concert at New York City Center Studios (130 West 56th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues) every Saturday until July 31st. The Friends of Saint Anne's Hospital will hold auditions for their upcoming production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR® DREAMCOAT on Monday, June 14th and Wednesday, June 16th. Auditions will be from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Nannery Conference Room at Saint Anne's Hospital (Forrest St, Fall River).

The Arts Forum at The New York Times presents 'Art Works: A Discussion About Art Spaces and Communities', June 21 at 5 pm. A reception will follow at 6 pm. The event will be at The Times Center, located at 242 West 41st St.

Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts launches its 65th Caramoor International Music Festival on Saturday, June 26 at 8:30pm with dynamic pianist Mitsuko Uchida, considered by many to be the premiere performer of the works of Mozart, conducting the Orchestra of St. Luke's from the piano in a performance of the composer's last piano concerto, No. 27 in B flat Major, K. 595.

Mercury Baroque will become the first Houston-based orchestra to tour Europe in nearly 10 years when it reprises its popular production of Lully's opera Armide in Paris in September, 2010. The Paris production of Armide will feature the same cast and musicians as Mercury's previous production in Houston in May of 2009 and also marks Mercury Baroque's first European performances since the ensemble's inception 10 years ago. This special production of Armide is a unique collaboration between Mercury Baroque's Artistic Director Antoine Plante and renowned Stage Director Pascal Rambert, whose Theatre de Gennevilliers will host the performances. Armide stars Isabelle Cals in the title role, Zachary Wilder as Renaud, and Sumner Thompson as Hidraot/Haine. Performances begin in Paris on September 18th, 2010.

Philadelphia's Danger After Dark is back for its 10th Anniversary and returning to its confrontational roots, showing the darkest, most bizarre cinema Philadelphia has ever seen. Starting July 9th and ending July 19th, this 10-day summer festival will be centered in exciting Old City at Philadelphia's favorite art-house cinemas, the Ritz Bourse.

Joe's Pub announces their line-up from July 6th to the 8th. Performances include Chris Rael, Kelli Scarr, Rachel Platten and Nick Howard as well as the Happy Ending Music and Reading Series. Joe's Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street.

Abingdon Theatre Company concludes its 17th Season with the New York premiere of SISTER MYOTIS'S BIBLE CAMP -- a new play written by and starring Steve Swift about three Southern ladies on a mission to save souls -- in previews beginning June 11, prior to its official press opening June 20 at Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan. The American Museum of Natural History hosts a Summer Solstice Celebration on on June 20th from 11 am to 4 pm. The celebration takes place at the Rose Center for Earth and Space and is free with admission to the museum. More information can be found at the event website.

Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST), Zumba and YOR Health presents Zumba Dance Party to help kick-off and raise funds for the upcoming production of REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES on June 18th from 7 to 11 pm.
