Mark Rylance Visits Comedy Theatre's "Recycled Comedy" Exhibit, Runs Through 9/4

Actor Mark Rylance, who will be in the upcoming revival of David Hirson's La Bête at the Comedy Theatre, visited the theatre's current exhibition, 'Recycled Comedy.' Rylance will be starring in La Bête alongside Joanna Lumley and David Hyde Pierce at the Comedy Theatre from 26 June until 4 September.

El Teatro Campesino Presents CORRIDOS!!! TALES OF THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION, 6/18-8/1

When Kinan Valdez, the producing artistic director of El Teatro Campesino (ETC), began planning El Teatro's 2010 season, he was inspired to use the working-title 'Raices/Roots' because many of the pieces this season are classic works-or inspired from the classic works-created in the beginnings of San Juan Bautista's world-renown, all original, theater company. At the same time, Valdez is also creating new works to add to the company's artistic arsenal. The newest work created by Valdez is ‘Corridos!!! Tales of the Mexican Revolution,' which begins June 18 at El Teatro Campesino's playhouse in San Juan Bautista.

PTP/NYC, formerly known as The Potomac Theatre Project, in association with Middlebury College, proudly presents its 24th repertory season, its 4th consecutive in New York, running from July 6 to August 1, 2010 in a limited engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in NYC. This season's line-up includes the World Premiere of Howard Barker's GARY THE THIEF and the NY Premiere of Howard Barker's PLEVNA: MEDITATIONS ON HATRED, both directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli (American Associate of The Wrestling School), the NY Premiere of Snoo Wilson's LOVESONG OF THE ELECTRIC BEAR, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Cheryl Faraone, and a revival of David Rabe's A QUESTION OF MERCY, based on the Journal by Richard Selzer, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Jim Petosa.
