The multi-award winning and Tony nominated actor and singer, Euan Morton, returns to perform for one night only to Maine State Music Theatre audiences on Monday, August 16th, 2010. The concert will begin at 7:30PM at the Pickard Theatre located on the Bowdoin Campus college campus. According to an article by STL Today, the Muny's Executive producer Paul Blake, who has been at the theatre more than two decades, will leave after the upcoming 2011 season.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is the first fully staged Regional theatre in the nation to produce an all new production of Sunset Boulevard starring Stefanie Powers as Norma Desmond, July 28 through August 14, complete with the Tony Nominated costumes by the Academy Award winning designer, Anthony Powell and an all new set designed exclusively for the Ogunquit stage by Todd Ivins. This musical is based on the film noir classic by Billy Wilder that starred Gloria Swanson and William Holden. It is the winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and features some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's loveliest melodies including, 'With One Look' and 'As If We Never Said Goodbye.'

Swedish contemporary dance company, The Göteborg Ballet, makes its American debut at Jacob's Pillow August 18-22. The company will perform a full-length production, 3xBoléro; three diverse works each inspired in a different way by Maurice Ravel's classic score, 'Boléro.' The works that comprise 3xBoléro showcase twenty classically-trained dancers from this leading Nordic company and three leading European choreographers. While Ravel's score provides the artistic impetus to 3xBoléro, the pieces utilize a unique spectrum of composers and dance vocabularies, in musical styles ranging from minimalist electronica through full scale orchestral recordings.

This wonderfully intimate performance space (150 seats) will have you face to face with three of the most powerful and versatile voices on the planet. Singing music from their PBS TV Special and from their NAACP Image Award Nominated CD...and Mo'. This is the Divas 3rd time playing the Apollo, but their first time in this intimate setting. New York audiences will feel like the Divas are in their own living room.

In keeping with this popular Italian holiday, we will offer games, crafts and activities for the whole family.
