UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will present a new Off-Broadway production of the 1969 musical comedy The Fig Leaves Are Falling. Featuring a book and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Allan Sherman (Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh) and music by Tony Award winner Albert Hague (Redhead, Plain and Fancy), The Fig Leaves Are Falling is revised and directed by Ben West (At Home Abroad, Make Mine Manhattan, Gatsby). Performances begin January 10, 2013 at the Connelly Theatre.

Beginning November 20 at STAGE 72, comedy star Gilbert Gottfried (Disney's Aladdin, The Aristocrats, cast member of Saturday Night Live) will present an open-ended NYC run of the brand new comedy production The Diet Show, which will star past winners, finalists and contestants of the hit NBC TV show The Biggest Loser.

Following Second Skin Theatre's hit production of Quills by Doug Wright, the company celebrates the holiday season with a tale of a middle-class Christmas reunion that hastens a haunting. "N16's resident theatre company" (N16 Magazine) has commissioned local playwright Duncan Stevens to write a new adaptation of the BBC 1972 series The Exorcism, set on Stoke Newington Church Street and staged at the White Rabbit Theatre from November 28 to December 16.

Life is Beautiful (L.I.B.), a new two-day music, food and arts festival plans to attract thousands of locals and tourists to Downtown Las Vegas in the fall of 2013. Redefining what it means to "work" in Lower Manhattan, 26 emerging artists and writers have been awarded studio residencies in LMCC's Workspace program, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) announced today. Each artist will be granted free studio space in minimally adapted, temporarily vacant office space donated by Goldman Sachs, Co in Lower Manhattan at One Liberty Plaza, and will have access to talks and seminars, public programs, access to a network of peers and new audiences, a financial stipend and other professional development opportunities.

Due to popular demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s hit production of SUPERIOR DONUTS will add two additional weeks of performances - extending through December 9, 2012 at The Royal George Cabaret Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted St. in Chicago. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts and directed by Matt Miller, the critically acclaimed remount features nearly all of the original Mary-Arrchie cast members.

The Albuquerque Theatre Guild (ATG) has awarded a $500 grant to the Rio Grande Players (RGP) as part of a pilot program to fund member-generated projects. The grant will to help defray the cost of purchasing portable sound-amplification equipment to enable the group to take its free productions to more venues that do not have sound systems.
