Cirque du Soleil has announced that the critically-acclaimed production Quidam will be performing in Houston from March 6 to March 10, 2013 at the Toyota Center for eight performances only.

Juilliard Dance premieres four newly-choreographed works by choreographers Camille A. Brown (1st-Year Class), Emery LeCrone (2nd-Year Class), Susan Shields (3rd-Year Class), and Jarek Cemerek (4th-Year Class) in this year's New Dances: Edition 2012, under the direction of Artistic Director Lawrence Rhodes. All Juilliard Dance Division students perform on the program, and they have been working closely with these four innovative choreographers as they create new works on each of the Dance Division's classes.

Craig Edwards (Step Mother), Thomas Eccleshare (Prince), Lisa Kerr (Ella) and Lucy Tuck (Step Sister) will reprise their roles in Sally Cookson's enchanting and inventive production of Cinderella: A Fairytale, originally staged to huge acclaim at the Tobacco Factory Theatre, Bristol in 2011. They will be joined by Tom Godwin (Step Brother) in the production which begins performances at the St. James Theatre on 12 December 2012, running until 26 January 2013, with press night on 18 December 2012. Musicians are Adam Pleeth and Brian Hargreaves, playing Benji Bower's folk-jazz score.

West End Star Madalena Alberto will make her Spanish debut next December with an intimate evening at Barcelona's La Cova del Drac de Barcelona, under the musical direction of Alfonso Casado on the piano; and with the participation of the leading Spanish Musical Theatre performers Nina (MAMMA MIA!) and Daniel Angles (RENT, HEDWIG).

Celebrating 80 years, the Bergen County Players (BCP) will present its annual children's show, David Crane and Marta Kauffman's (creators of the hit television show Friends) tongue-in-cheek retelling of the favorite fairytale, Rapunzel. Under the direction of Jerry Hurley, Rapunzel will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from November 24th through December 16th. Shows will be on Fridays at 8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3:30pm. On Tuesday, November 13, at 7:00pm in the Downs Cultural Arts Center, participating residents from Ingleside Retirement Apartments will share original memoir monologues and plays with an audience of family, residents, community members and Ingleside staff, in a presentation entitled 'Recollections: An Evening of Readings'. The playwriting program, made possible by a grant from The 1916 Foundation, is in its second phase after the overwhelming success of the initial pilot program. With performance titles ranging from 'My Delaware Journey' to 'Spiders!,' each performer's work is the result of 10 weeks of intense script writing workshops led by Delaware Theatre Company's teaching artists. The opportunity to hone both the craft of playwriting and performance 'educated, inspired, and strengthened our residents,' according to Debbie Coates, Activities Director at Ingleside. In addition, the connections forged among fellow Ingleside members, staff, and community is invaluable.
