City Harvest, New York City's largest food rescue organization, announced today that Chrissy Teigen, TV host, model, and bestselling author, and Antoni Porowski, Emmy Award-winning TV personality, actor, food expert, author and restaurateur, will co-host City Harvest: The 2019 Gala, on April 30. Teigen and Porowski are also members of City Harvest's Food Council, a group of culinary experts and top chefs that support the organization's work to rescue good food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it to New Yorkers in need.

SAG-AFTRA members Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and Regina King are throwing their support behind the union's #StrikeBBH campaign to ensure fair wages and safe sets for actors who work on commercials. They join Rami Malek, Rachel Brosnahan, Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Sterling K. Brown and Alec Baldwin in supporting the strike, issuing a joint statement that reads, "We stand united with our fellow performers who work in commercials, who seek fair wages, safe sets, access to health care and a meaningful pension. It's time for advertisers and agencies like Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc. (BBH) to do the right thing. When you make an ad, make it union." The ad agency is attempting to illegally abandon its union contract with SAG-AFTRA after almost 20 years.

Showtime Networks Inc. announced that Virginia Lazalde-McPherson has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Business Affairs. Lazalde-McPherson will serve as the company's head of business affairs for the acquisition and production of all scripted and unscripted series, limited series and documentaries. The announcement was made today by Jana Winograde, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., to whom Lazalde-McPherson will report.

Filming of Ares, the first Dutch original series, has begun in Amsterdam. The cast includes Jade Olieberg, Tobias Kersloot, Lisa Smit, Robin Boissevain and Frieda Barnhard. The Golden Calf winning actress Rifka Lodeizen plays a supporting role. The series is directed by Giancarlo Sanchez and Michiel ten Horn and script development run by Michael Leendertse. Ares will launch on Netflix in 2019.

CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced Lucy Liu will star in the service's upcoming darkly comedic drama WHY WOMEN KILL. Created by Marc Cherry ('Desperate Housewives,' 'Devious Maids'), WHY WOMEN KILL details the lives of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the '60s, a socialite in the '80s and a lawyer in 2018, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages. The series will examine how the roles of women have changed, but how their reaction to betrayal... has not. WHY WOMEN KILL is produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios.

WGN America has released its first look trailer for its latest gripping drama, “Gone,” premiering Wednesday, February 27 at 9/8c. The clip gives a behind-the-scenes look of the thrilling missing persons crime procedural, shining a light on the daunting reality of abduction cases: somebody goes missing in the U.S. every 40 seconds. 

TBS has picked up Chad to pilot, a single-camera comedy that follows a 14-year-old Persian boy (played by Nasim Pedrad) during high school as he desperately tries to fit in, cope with his mother's dating life, and reconcile his cultural identity.

Grammy Award-winning artist/producer duo The Chainsmokers have announced their massive 'WORLD WAR JOY' North American headline arena tour for fall. Multi-platinum band 5 Seconds of Summer, who is featured on The Chainsmokers' latest single 'Who Do You Love,' will be joining all dates along with rising pop star Lennon Stella, who is opening the show. The 41-city tour, produced by Live Nation, will kick off on September 25 in Cincinnati, OH and make stops in major cities across the U.S. and Canada before wrapping in Vancouver, BC on December 6. A prequel of 'Black-ish' is in early development at ABC, according to Variety. The prequel would focus on Tracee Ellis Ross' character Rainbow.
