'Public Figure' is a documentary that investigates the lives of influencers from around the world as well as the psychological and addictive effects of social media in society.  Produced and directed by New York documentary filmmaker Brian Corso, 'Public Figure' features social media influencers and public figures around the world, by looking into their everyday lives and how they deal with fame, money, hate and obsession. 'Public Figure' will premiere at the much-touted Manchester United Kingdom Film Festival on Thursday, March 9, 2019.

They're not leading you through but letting you come to your own conclusions, as Jurado says, ''South', like most songs that I write, is a collage of sorts, or collection of snapshots, that center around two characters. One could even presume me, or me as an alternate self. Dark, isolated, and slightly menacing in tone for a waltz number.'

 Congratulations to The Travelin' McCourys on their GRAMMY win for “Best Bluegrass Album,” announced today in Los Angeles, CA. The band's eponymous debut album was released on May 25th of last year after decades of playing-- the GRAMMY award pointing to both the band's work ethic and their innovative style of bluegrass which honors the genre's tradition and drives it forward. In the acceptance speech Rob McCoury thanked Del and Jean McCoury, saying “without them, none of this would have happened.” And it's true; few, if any, have blazed a musical path for their children the way Del has. Taking the torch, the Travelin' McCourys have proven that not only are they worthy; they're comfortable blazing a trail of their own. Today, HBO Europe launched its newest direct to consumer streaming service, HBO Portugal, bringing all seasons of HBO's award-winning programming to Portuguese audiences. In addition to HBO originals, HBO Portugal viewers will have access to series, films, documentaries and family content from other content providers. 

'ZOMBIES 2,' the highly anticipated sequel to Disney's 'ZOMBIES,' a movie that captivated kids and families, will begin production in spring with stars Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim reprising their marquee roles as Addison and Zed. The announcement was made today during a presentation to advertisers by Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. 'ZOMBIES' was cable television's #1-rated telecast among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for the year (2018).

Red Sun Rising have announced their Spring 2019 tour plans. The band will embark on trek with Goodbye June and Dirty Honey. The tour kicks off on March 21 in Louisville and wraps April 16 in Oklahoma City. All dates are below.

Claiming the coveted Theatrical Award for best cinematography in a motion picture, Łukasz Żal, PSC took home the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Award for his work on “Cold War.” Giorgi Shvelidze took the Spotlight Award for “Namme.” In the TV categories, winners included Adriano Goldman, ASC, ABC, BSC for “The Crown”; Jon Joffin, ASC for “Beyond”; and James Friend, BSC for “Patrick Melrose.” The 33 rd ASC Awards gala took place tonight in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland, with Ben Mankiewicz from TCM taking his second turn as host.

The 2019 Las Vegas Film Festival is scheduled to take place April 28 through May 5. Additionally, Zappos has signed on as a presenting sponsor of the eight-day Festival. While the majority of the Festival will take place in venues around Downtown Las Vegas, some events will be held at the Brenden Theatres and Palms Casino Resort, which has served as home to the Festival for the past two years.  

Live music's premier hologram production company Eyellusionhas announced that a who's who of ZAPPA fan favorite musicians will support 'The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa' hologram tour which will make its debut this April in the U.S. The nine U.S. shows kick off Friday, April 19, with seven European shows in May to follow. Additional dates will be announced in the coming months. Tickets for the U.S. shows go on sale Friday, February 15at 10:00 AM (ET) at all major ticketing outlets, with a special VIP pre-sale (details here) launching on Wednesday, February 13.

Bear Grylls is no stranger to National Geographic, having been tapped as host and narrator of the network's upcoming natural history series Hostile Planet, premiering this April. And today, National Geographic announces an additional partnership with Grylls that the network will be the new home of wildly popular hit series Running Wild with Bear Grylls, which is currently in production and slated to premiere in December 2019. National Geographic Global Television Networks' President Courteney Monroe was joined by Grylls on stage during the network's TCA session to make the announcement.

HISTORY's hit UFO drama series 'Project Blue Book,' from A+E Studios and Academy Award and Golden Globe(R) winning executive producer Robert Zemeckis, has landed a 10-episode sophomore season. 'Project Blue Book' is the #1 new series on cable among total viewers this TV season, averaging 3.4 million viewers in Live+3 delivery. Since the series debuted, HISTORY is the #1 entertainment network in cable on Tuesday nights in prime among total viewers.

Grammy®, TONY®, and Emmy® Award-winning artist Ben Platt today announces details of his highly anticipated North American headline tour, set to kick off May 3rd at Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL. With stops throughout the US and Canada, the tour will come in support of Platt's debut solo LP Sing to Me Instead, set to arrive everywhere Friday, March 29th. AMC today announced that it had opened up a writers' room for '61st Street,' a potential new AMC Studios' series from BAFTA-winner Peter Moffat ('Criminal Justice' The Night Of,') as showrunner and executive producer, to be executive produced by Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society ('David Makes Man'). The project is being developed as part of AMC's 'scripts-to-series' model, which opens writers' rooms to develop potential series that, in success, move straight-to-series.

The CINEMAX drama series WARRIOR begins its ten-episode season FRIDAY, APRIL 5 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming. Filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, the show is based on writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, and created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (CINEMAX's 'Banshee') under Tropper Ink Productions and Justin Lin on behalf of Perfect Storm Entertainment.
