RWS & Associates, in conjunction with Hershey Entertainment, will be creating an original musical production to be presented at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane this holiday season.
A Music Box Christmas in Hersheypark's Music Box Theatre (Hershey, PA). $525/week minimum. Non-Union. Lodging provided. Rehearsals begin on or about October 28 and shows run November 11 through December 31.
Seeking - Non-Equity performers, 18 and over, with dynamic personalities, who are comfortable with various music/vocal/dance styles and are able to entertain by connecting with an audience. Theme Park and Cruise Ship credits are a plus.
Four Principal Roles:
Dad - Strong Actor/Singer to read late 30s/early 40s. 5’11” and over. Open to all types. Will also play Santa Claus. Goofy, lovable family man. Bari-tenor.
Mom - Singer/Actress to read late 30s/early 40s. 5’7” and over. Open to all types. She is the Type-A glue that keeps her family on task. Excellent vocalist with mix/belt as well as soprano/head voice.
Son - Singer/Actor to believably play a young child. 5’6” or under.
Daughter - Singer/Actress to believably play a young child. 5’2” or under.
Dancers - Featured Ensemble. Females (5’2” to 5’8”) and Males (5’7” to 6’2”). Strong dancers with excellent physiques. Must be proficient in ballet, musical theatre jazz and tap. Partnering experience a plus.
Open Call for Principal Singer/Actors will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10am (Female Singer/Actors who Move Well) and 2pm (Male Singer/Actors who Move Well), Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue (btwn 36th and 37th Streets), 17th fl, NYC.
Prepare 16 bars of an uptempo pop/rock or contemporary music theatre song showing range and personality. Have a musical theatre ballad ready in case asked for a second selection. Actresses who wish to be considered for “Mom,” be prepared to show both head voice and belt/mix. Bring sheet music; accompanist will be provided. Dance callbacks will be held in the afternoon on the same day; bring dance clothes/shoes.
Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 for singers.
Open Call for Dancers will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10am (Male and Female Dancers), Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue (btwn 36th and 37th Streets), 17th fl, NYC.
A brief dance combination will be taught. Please wear form-fitting dance attire. Women bring heels and flats. All bring tap shoes. All bring headshot and resume stapled together. Dancers are not required to sing.
