I am holding auditions for, Pressing Violets, an original play. Listed below are the acting roles that I am looking to fill. Pressing Violets is a show about family, loss, unsuspecting connections, humor and healing. I am accepting online video auditions. Video audition submission date opens 1/27 and close on 2/14. In person callbacks are on 2/17 at 6pm-8pm at my studio on 677 Worcester St. Natick MA.
Alice- mother to Marta and June (age ranges 40's-60's) Alice represents stability, kindness, courage and hope for her children
Marta- daughter to Alice (age range mid 20's-30's) Marta is a bit closed off, has a fairly dry sense of humor. She is coping with her mother's passing.
June- daughter to Alice (age range mid 20's-30's) June is more laid back and funny. She and her fiance add a light comedic flair to the show. She is Marta's older sister. They lean on each other heavily, especially during this time of her mother's passing.
Jack- friend to Alice (age range mid 20's-40's) Jack is a bit of a mystery guest and turns out to be a very important part of Alices story. Jack is very kind, relaxed and reliable.
Dave- fiance to June (age range mid 20's-30's) Dave is a love. He represents the innocence, silly, kind and fun loving person we all need in our lives.
Various ensemble needed as well. (funeral attendees, family, friends)
Cast size 5 leading roles and an additional 7 ensemble members

We are in the works for booking venues. Ideally our show would go up in late May for our first show.
