The Great Plains Theatre is currently seeking talented, experienced actors for the upcoming season. Specifically, we are looking to cast female-identifying actors of a mature age for our productions of Steel Magnolias and Tuck Everlasting; and male-identifying actors of a mature age for Tuck Everlasting.
Please submit your headshot, resume, and a video that includes one 60 second monologue showcasing your acting range. If you wish to be considered for Tuck Everlasting, please include a 32-bar cut of a musical selection that shows off your vocal capabilities. ?CLAIREE (50-70 years old)
Former wife of the mayor of the town. Feels a little lost without her position, but is the grande dame.
?M'LYNN (40-50 years old)
Shelby's mother. She is struggling letting loose her control of her daughter and protecting her. Also, a socially prominent career woman.
?OUISER (50 - 70 years old)
Pronounced Weezer. A wealthy acerbic, but ultimately loveable curmudgeon. A tough exterior but she really cares about people.
Tuck Everlasting
Rehearsals: July 7 - July 17
Performances: July 18 - July 27
MAE TUCK (40s - 50s, A3 - E5)
Mae is the matriarch of the Tuck family, married to Angus. She loves all her boys, and is kind to Winnie.
ANGUS TUCK (40s - 50s, E3 - B4)
Angus is the patriarch of the Tuck family, married to Mae. Along with the other members of the Tuck family, he teaches Winnie about the beauty of living life in all its seasons.
