Superheart L’Opéra is an invitation to honour the slow and profound transformations that take place within us when our desire for control subsides. Between softness and pop effervescence, La Chapelle will ring out in celebration of feeling one’s way, of the unexpected, and an openness to all that comes our way this delivered as a luminous gesture of gratitude for the present. For the occasion, the theatre is transformed into a real musical instrument.
In place of the big display that is the operatic form, Superheart L’Opéra presents small, patiently unfolded sonic and visual detail. Expectations evaporate, time expands, perceptions amplify. The theatre vibrates with those assembled within it and resizes the spectacular by revealing it in the infinitesimal. Each element counts, however small it may be. Uncertainty forms a surprisingly virtuous circle, and within it lies the promise of a tranquility to come. TEASER
COMMUNAUTÉ SLO The SLO community, a transient one, is formed by the artists who gravitate around Superheart L'Opéra. Together, they work with respect for ideas that are slow to emerge and understand.
