Breakdown

SYNOPSIS: Red Eye of Love is a rollicking musical comedy about a love triangle between a young idealist, Wilmer Flange, a materialistic butcher, O.O. Martinas, and the girl they both love, Selma Chargesse. Their hilarious misadventures are set against a background of Boom Time, War and Depression in America, so that the play becomes a panorama of the United States in the Twentieth Century.

NOTE: We are actively seeking an ethnically diverse cast.

Seeking the following:

Wilmer Flange:
late 20’s-early 30”s. Tenor. A lost soul. Looking for the “key” to life. Eager to please.

O.O. Martinas:
40’s. Bari-tenor. A capitalist. Blustery, but vulnerable down deep.

Selma Chargesse:
late 20’s. Mezzo. Marilyn Monroe meets the young Ethel Merman.

Bez:
Boy, 8-10 years old. Plays Bez as a young child. Obnoxious.
