Seeking Male and female ensemble singers for PIECE OF MY HEART: The Bert Berns Story: ALL ethnicities, 20s-40s. Great rock singers. Dancing a plus. Many ensemble members will also cover principal roles. see breakdown for more info.
Preparation Please prepare 16 bars of a 60s rock song. NO MUSICAL THEATRE REPERTOIRE PLEASE. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Dancing a plus. Many ensemble members will also cover principal roles CANDACE Female, late 30s-early 40s. African American. Cosmopolitan, sophisticated, beautiful, sassy, soulful. Bert’s first love. She breaks his heart but helps him find his voice. Great singing voice. FEATURED ENSEMBLE. CARLOS Male, 30s. Cuban. A revolutionary. Charismatic, but not necessarily trustworthy. Passionate, intense, political. Must dance very well and be a versatile singer. FEATURED ENSEMBLE ROTH Male, 40s-50s. Jewish. Bert's mentor, producer, boss, champion, and then, ultimately, his enemy. Tough, shrewd businessman, but also avuncular and charming father figure. Has a temper. Recognizes Bert's gift, and celebrates it, but doesn't want to relinquish control. Threatened by Bert. Doesn't sing in the show. FEATURED ENSEMBLE
