Billy Lawlor - Juvenile lead of “Pretty Lady” - excellent tap dancer; soaring tenor. (Range: C#3-A4)
Maggie Jones - half of the writing duo of “Pretty Lady”; Sings and moves well and plays comedy with great warmth and charm; character alto. (Range: Ab3-Bb4)

Vivian Ward - female, early 20s. A quirky, sexy girl who reluctantly works as a prostitute on Hollywood Boulevard but dreams of something better. Opinionated, sensitive, sarcastic, energetic. A true survivor no matter what.
Edward Lewis - male, 40s. Smart successful business mogul who takes over companies and sells their parts. Handsome, uptight, moody, workaholic. Looks like he has it all, but does he?
Kit Deluca - female, late 20s. Professional prostitute and party girl. Always peppy, optimistic, funny, and street-smart. Often bossy.
Happy Man - male, 30s. Fast-talking and smiling street hustler handing out maps to the stars' homes. He dreams of being a full-time professional singer. Knows everybody.
Mr. Thompson - Early fifties. Efficient, dapper manager of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Ex-dancer. Fashion and etiquette expert who believes in kindness.
Phillip Stuckey - Forties. Ruthless business lawyer to Edward Lewis. Total control freak. Will go high and low to close a deal.
Mr. James Morse - 50s-60s. Cagey industrial tycoon who owns large shipyards. Currently in business trouble but will go down swinging.
David Morse/Ensemble - Twenties. Grandson of Mr. Morse. Eager, impulsive, smart. Has a plan to save his grandfather's company.
Giulio/Ensemble - Twenties. Young, curious, elevator boy at the hotel. A little naive and trying hard to be responsible.
Mr. Hollister/Ensemble - High-end Beverly Hills clothing store/boutique manager. Will say or do anything to make a sale.
Senator Adams/Ensemble - 50s. Powerful Senator and chairman of the Appropriations Committee.
Ensemble - true triple threats that will double as bit roles and understudies.

Christine Daeé - the Phantom’s protege and aspiring opera singer.
Philippe, Count de Chandon - powerful Count who is in love with Christine.
Gerard Carriere - former manager of the Opera House.
Cholet - new manager of the Opera House.
Carlotta - the new opera diva; Cholet’s wife.
Jean-Claude - the stage manager.
Inspector LeDoux - chief of Paris police that is investigating the Phantom.
Ensemble - various acolytes, members of the opera company, and police officers; must sing extremely well.

Evan Hansen - Pop Tenor G2-B4 (Bottom G to top B) 18+ to play 17 years old. Smart, sincere, and excruciatingly self-conscious, Evan prefers to hover in the background, a supporting player in his own life, too afraid to step forward into the spotlight and risk ridicule or, what might be worse, no one noticing him at all.
Zoe Murphy - Pop Soprano F3-E5 (Bottom F to E two above middle C) 18+ to play 16 years old. Sensitive and sophisticated, with a sharp sense of humor, Zoe could care less about the status games and popularity rites of high school. She feels a terrible ambivalence over her brother’s death.
Alana Beck - Pop Soprano F3-E5 (Bottom F to E two above middle C) 18+ to play 17 years old. Earnest to a fault, prone to melodrama, Alana hides a deeper loneliness beneath an ever-present smile and an almost aggressive friendliness.
Connor Murphy - Pop Bari/Tenor G2-G4 (Bottom G to Top G) 18+ to play 17 years old. An angry, disaffected loner, Connor has been a troubled kid for as long as anyone can remember, an enigma and a source of endless consternation to his long-suffering parents.
Jared Kleinman - Pop Tenor A2-B4 (Bottom A to top B) 18+ to play 17 years old. Droll and sarcastic, Jared covers his own insecurities with a well-practiced swagger and a know-it-all arrogance.
Heidi Hansen - (40s) Pop Alto F3-Eb5 (belt) Evan’s mother. Overworked and stretched too thin, Heidi loves her son fiercely but fears they have begun to grow apart. She is prepared to do anything to repair the damage.
Cynthia Murphy - (40s) Pop Soprano F#3-E5 (belt) Connor and Zoe’s mother. To Evan, she seems to be the perfect mother, nurturing, available, and willing to talk about anything. To her own children, it’s a bit more complicated.
Larry Murphy - (40s) Pop Bari/Tenor F#2-G4 Connor and Zoe’s father. Though often tense and taciturn, Larry shows a different face to the world, representing for Evan the dad he always wished for: strong, confident, and more than anything, reliable, someone to be counted on.
