Equity actors for roles in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (see breakdown). This will be a diverse production and actors from underserved communities are encouraged to attend. Connecticut and Westchester talent is a plus. Music Theatre of Connecticut is currently in its 38th season. MTC is located in a beautiful theatre center in Norwalk, CT, and the company has won numerous Best awards from both BroadwayWorld and Connecticut Critics' Circle Awards, including the prestigious Killen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Professional Theatre, joining Long Wharf, Hartford Stage, and the Westport Playhouse.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

ALBIN: Male, 45-55, Baritone, possesses a star quality; mature; great powerhouse of a Broadway voice.
GEORGES: Male, 50s, Baritone, a star; mature and attractive; good singer; energetic, loving and caring; moves well.
JEAN-MICHEL: Male, 20, young ingenue, baritone, romantic lead, well-mannered, educated; desperately in love with his fiancée, Anne; sings and moves well. Early 20s, lyric baritone.
ANNE: Female, early 20s, Jean-Michel’s fiancée; sop/belt, ingénue, a superb dancer. Doubles as a female Cagelle.
JACOB: Male, early 20s, male butler/maid; tenor, brilliant comedian who sings and moves well.
EDOUARD DINDON: Male, early 50s, Baritone, Anne’s father; right-wing radical politician; pompous; quirky; sings and moves well. A fine comedian.
MARIE DINDON: Female, late 40s, Soprano, Anne’s mother; 48-52, shy, retiring, sexually repressed, and sex-starved; good singer who moves well.
JACQUELINE: Female, middle age, mezzo, mature friend of Georges and Albin; owns a chic restaurant; attractive, charming; very theatrical.
MME RENAUD: Female, 30s, sop/belt, strong dancer, vibrant.
RENAUD/CAGELLE: Male, 30s/40s, Baritenor, male friend of Georges and Albin; owns a small cafe; strong dancer.
FRANCIS/CAGELLE: Male, 30s, baritenor, male stage manager in Georges’ club; strong dancer.
MALE CAGELLE/ETIENNE: Strong dancer/singer, flexible vocal part.
