Equity actors for roles in Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre's 2025 season (see breakdown). All Stage Managerial positions are currently filled. Actors who are racially, ethnically, and physically diverse, as well as all gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities are encouraged to audition.
Please prepare two brief song cuts: one up-tempo and one ballad. Music in the correct key. A one-minute monologue may or may not be requested. Please bring an updated picture/resume. Bring dance clothes and your entire vocal book for potential dance callback at 6:00 PM.

HERCULE POIROT: (Male Identifying, 40-65, Dialect – Belgian) Iconic character. Agatha Christie’s most famous detective. He is finicky, detailed, a little ridiculous, incredibly observant, and intelligent. He values intelligence and the rule of law above all else.
MONSIEUR BOUC: (Male Identifying, 40-55, Dialect – Belgian) The owner of Wagon Lit, Orient Express. Young middle-aged man of good humor. Sociable and honest, he puts friends and clientele before profits. He is a ball of energy who suffers slightly from delusions of grandeur.
MARY DEBENHAM: (Female Identifying, 25-30, Dialect – English) An anxious English governess, who despite her youth has a sadness about her. She is having an affair with Colonel Arburthnot. Though she is beautiful, she is not to be underestimated, she is very good at keeping secrets.
HECTOR MACQUEEN: (Male Identifying, 26-35; Dialect – American) A young American. He is the personal assistant and secretary to Samuel Ratchett. Nervous and anxious, seems new to his post.
MICHEL THE CONDUCTOR: (Male Identifying, 35-45; Dialect – French) Frenchman conductor for the 1st-class carriages of the Orient Express. Has a quiet, almost grave sense of humor. Well composed and excellent at his job.
PRINCESS DRAGOMIROFF: (Female Identifying, 60-80, Dialect – Russian) A Russian princess who enters like a galleon in full sail. She is opinionated, arrogant, and used to getting her way. A true diva. Imperial and impatient.
GRETA OHLSSON: (Female Identifying, 30s, Dialect – Swedish) Plain, frightened and sheep-like. She is a Catholic missionary and baby nurse serving as a travel companion to the Princess. Has impressive comedic chops.
COUNTESS ANDRENYI: (Female Identifying, 25-35, Dialect – Hungarian) Dressed to the nines in furs and diamonds. Her hair and makeup are impeccable, and she has a warm smile that wins you over immediately. She is out of a fairy-tale. In addition to being a Countess, she is a doctor. Matches Poirot in intelligence.
HELEN HUBBARD: (Female Identifying, 45-60, Dialect – American) From Minnesota, she is loud, obnoxious, and has been married multiple times. Unapologetic. She is not what she seems. Sings and does some light dancing.
COLONEL ARBUTHNOT: (Male Identifying, 30s, Dialect – Scottish) Scotsman, very matter of fact. Having an affair with Mary. Military man, possibly from old money. Charismatic, but has some problematic views and a temper. Has good comedic timing.
SAMUEL RATCHETT: (Male Identifying, 40-55, Dialect – American) Businessman who is brusque, unforgiving, with a threatening demeanor, and a whiplash of a voice. The murder victim. NOTE: May understudy Poirot.
HEAD WAITER: (Any gender, Any age, Dialect – Turkish) Snooty Head Waiter of the Tokatlian Hotel

TOMMY DEVITO: (Male Identifying, 30-40) Strong tenor/baritone voice, comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; ability to play guitar a strong plus; funny; a wise-guy; a natural-born leader with appealing bad-boy quality.
FRANKIE VALLI: (Male Identifying, 20-35) A strong tenor with sweet and strong falsetto and able to sing in the style of Frankie Valli; strong tenor to high A or Bb plus strong falsetto up to treble G; charismatic and charming; has a gritty side as well as a polished veneer; very comfortable with four-part harmonies.
NICK MASSI: (Male Identifying, 30-40) Strong bass/baritone voice, very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; a quiet dreamer who longs for life after The Four Seasons; understated with a dead-pan quality.
BOB GAUDIO: (Male Identifying, 20-35) Strong tenor/baritone voice; very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; an intelligent, sensitive, and introspective musical prodigy.
GYP DECARLO: (Male Identifying, 45-55) Tough, Mafioso type; a strong singer.
BOB CREWE: (Male Identifying, 30-40) Intelligent and flamboyant; genius music producer and lyricist; an integral part of creating the magic of The Four Seasons.
JOE PESCI: (Male Identifying, 20-35) Young, energetic, and funny; a strong singer. Doubles various roles. NOTE: May cover Frankie.
BARRY BELSON: (Male Identifying, 20-49) Doubles various roles (friends, producers, etc.); strong tenor to high C; with a strong falsetto to G above high C; Has the ability to riff in rhythm-and-blues style.
NORMAN WAXMAN: (Male Identifying, 20-35) Owns a private money lending agency; doubles various roles; strong tenor/bari-tenor voice.
MARY & OTHERS: (Female Identifying, 20-39) Frankie’s wife; tough, “Seen it all” Italian, Jersey girl; she’s got a killer sense of humor; doubles a variety of other roles including a member of a 60’s style girl group; Good dancer.
LORRAINE & OTHERS: (Female Identifying, 20-35) Frankie’s girlfriend; educated; not from Jersey; a reach career girl; young Diane Sawyer; doubles a variety of other roles, including member of a 60’s style girl group and tough-as-nails Jersey girl. Good dancer.
FRANCINE & OTHERS: (Female Identifying, 20-37) Frankie’s daughter; deeply loved by Frankie. She’s a Jersey girl—vulnerable, lost and acts out to make up for lack of attention from her dad. Doubles a variety of other roles including a member of a 60’s style girl group and a tough-as-nails Jersey girl. Good dancer.

MRS. SNUSTAD (VIVIAN): 60 to 70 years old and a widow. She is the most conservative of the ladies, and she is the matriarch of the kitchen. She ensures the food tastes good before leaving the kitchen and washes the dishes. Her duties are well-defined (by her). She commands the work of the day. Her word is not to be tested, and her decisions are final.
MRS. ELROY ENGELSON (KARIN): 40 to 45 years old and is second in line to take over the kitchen. Her cooking is fabulous. She is neat and tidy in appearance and quite pretty in a very conservative way. She senses the world is about to change.
MRS. GILMER GILMERSON (MAVIS): In her late 50’s, a farmer’s wife and a grandmother. She is not afraid of work and can fix anything mechanical. She has a “jump in and work” attitude and appears rather disheveled even when dressed up.
SIGNE (BEVERLY) ENGELSON: The daughter of Karin, 18 or 19 years old, who has just started college and loves working with her mother in the kitchen. She represents change and is ready to make her mark in the world.
PASTOR E. L. GUNDERSON: The same age as Karin, but has just married a young wife. The ladies all seem to have crushes on him. He has a friendly and intimate relationship with God, and the church runs best when the kitchen is happy.
