SEEKING

Equity chorus dancers (male characters) for roles in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

[MALE ENSEMBLE] Males, 20s-50s. Singers and dancers to play a variety of roles, including:

MORDCHA the innkeeper. Full of life and humor. A shrewd businessman

AVRAM the bookseller

NACHUM the beggar. Poor but accepts his lot with a sense of humor

MENDEL the narrow-minded Rabbi’s son CONSTABLE, an authoritative local official RABBI, the town elder

RUSSIAN TENOR SOLOIST

The FIDDLER, violin skills a plus

RUSSIAN SOLDIERS who do the Bottle Dance

SONS and PAPAS of the Shtetl.

May also understudy principal roles.

Jewish identifying actors are encouraged to attend.

PREPARATION

Please be prepared to dance at the appointed time, in character shoes. Please prepare a short cut of a musical theatre song in case asked to sing, and bring a picture/resume, stapled.
