SEEKING

Equity dancers for FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING. We will be casting for potential Full-Time and Sub/Casual-Temporary positions. These characters are confident in themselves as individuals, their relationships with each other, and the rest of the inhabitants of the Pride Lands. Their passion for entertaining and sharing the Lion King story and culture with their audience drives their performances. We encourage BIPOC dancers to submit.

MAJI – She is an ethereal and curious bird with a spirited nature. This role possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills and is comfortable performing aerial routines that involve flying at high altitudes.

MOTO – Displays a strong physical presence, but he also expresses a tender and gentle persona when dancing with Maji. Possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills. This character performs extensive overhead lifts. For safety purposes, upper body strength is essential to perform this role.

PREPARATION

Dancers should be warmed up and ready to learn a combination at the start of the audition. Some dancers will be asked to stay to learn/demonstrate lifts and partnering. Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
