All three go from high school cheerleaders to sorority girls to grown women - 1963, 1968, 1974 - start with Texan accent and gradually lose it - move well, attractive, funny and poignant
Joanne - Female, 20s-30s - conservative, naïve, popular, traditional
Kathy - Female, 20s-30s - leader of the group, planner, becomes most self-aware
Mary - Female, 20s-30s - rebellious, confident, strong sexual energy, clever, free spirit
