A Panther Cub; Collaborates with Jimmy on the BPP/YLP event; He is trying to maintain a relationship with his father, who is in prison.
Tito (50S-60S), Latino male, Puerto Rican, Spanish speaker, tough, street. Primo’s uncle; a former Young Lords Party member; Retired but still involved in union organizing and a prison reentryprogram; Was once in a romantic relationship with Helita.
Clara (20-30) dark skinned Latina, singer, Spanish song.
Daughter of Young Lords’ members; Co-Raised by Helita; She
wants nothing to do with a revolution that robbed her of her
parents.
Amira: (50s-60s) African American female. Blue’s wife and former Black Panther Party member; Protects Blue and his eccentricities.
Blue: (50s-60s) African American male
Former Black Panther Party member; Incarcerated for
involvement in a shootout that left a police officer dead but
was ultimately proven not guilty.
Donna: (50s-60s) Caucasian female,
Widow of murdered police officer.
Maruca: (50s-60s) Latina female, Puerto Rican, Poise, power, chops.Former Young Lords Party member; She is both ruthless andromantic, and is not well accepted by others who have doubts
about her past indiscretions.
Marcus: (50s-60s) Caucasian male, off the grid, former activist.
Affiliated with Fred Hampton’s Rainbow Coalition in Chicago. A collector of memorabilia.
Omar: (This role is cast)
Former Black Panther Party member; An Army war veteran; Seeks
a public apology for having been tortured when others thought
he was an informant.
Solias: (50s-60s) African American male
COINTELPRO agent provocateur infiltrating the Black Panther
Party.
Roger: (double cast with Marcus)
COINTELPRO agent; Teaches informants how to infiltrate.
Chorus:
All cast members are the chorus.
