SYNOPSIS: TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is a play adapted from Mitch Albom's memoir, focusing on the relationship between Mitch, a former student, and Morrie, his beloved professor. TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE celebrates the beauty of human connection, the inevitability of change, and the timeless value of living a meaningful life.
[ Morrie ] - 60+, Male. A wise, terminally ill professor who imparts profound life lessons. Retired and battling Lou Gehrig’s disease, he openly embraces his emotions and finds comfort in physical connection.
[ Mitch ] - 30-40s, Male. A successful but unfulfilled journalist, driven solely by his career, finds meaning in life through his reconnection with Morrie—a former college professor he reunites with after 16 years.
