Jessica Molaskey bravely walked to the Cafe Carlyle stage albeit with one crutch and the guidance of husband John Pizzarelli. Her replacement for the other evening when she injured her back, Bucky Pizzarelli was now in Colorado on a gig and John & Jessica were embarking on their 8th season of Cafe Carlyle performances. Luckily the Pizzarelli bench had someone to replace Jessica Molaskey at last night's performance. 88 year young Bucky Pizzarelli was the designated musician, and for lovers of jazz and great music this was a night to remember. It was a spectacular display of guitar playing as the symmetry of notes between father and son(s), with Martin on bass is a unique listening experience.

Backstage with Peter LeDonne broadcasts every week from the legendary Patsy's Italian Restaurant on 56th street, so why not interview the Jewish waiter Brad Zimmerman. Brad is appearing in his one man show at Stage 72 Triad Theatre and kept host Peter LeDonne and night life correspondent Jamie deRoy laughing with his steady stream of funny remarks.

The American Society of the University of Haifa held it's 2014 Gala at the American Museum of Natural History last night. Jamie deRoy was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Ambassador Ido Aharoni,Consul General of Israel who spoke, as well as other dignitaries from the University. At the podium were Yariv Sultan VP, Professor Alfred I. Tauber, Chairman Board of Governors, and Yefet Ozery National Executive Director of ASUH. Sandra Frankel represented the Leona M. and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust was presented a Carmel Award of Merit by Leon H. Charney. Audrey Gruss was also presented a Carmel Award which was presented by Professor Alfred I. Tauber. There was a musical performance by Israeli artists Guy Mintus, pianist/compser and opera singer Maya Yahav Gour.

Sabrina Wender and Egidiana Maccioni were the women. The wine and food are legendary and the music on Mondays is always a perfect fit for the elegant and happy atmosphere at Le Cirque cafe. It's a special treat when Sabrina, who happens to be married to one of the Maccioni sons is the musical attraction for the evening. She adds her sophisticated European jazz vocals to the line up of performers who appear on Musical Mondays. Egidiana, who happens to be married to Sirio was coaxed to sing and that made the evening an extra special Le Cirque Musical Monday.

Backstage with Peter LeDonne, which is now broadcasting from the legendary Patsy's Restaurant on 56th street, had Tony Award Winner lyricist and director Martin Charnin and his wife actress/singer Shelly Burch as guests on the show. Jamie deRoy was also on hand to give her suggestions for upcoming theater and cabaret events, one of which was Shelly Burch's appearing at the Metropolitan Room on Oct. 30, 31 and Dec. 4th A special treat was the appearance of owner/chef Sal Scognamillo on the program who presented the cast and crew of 970AM with loot bags containing some great Patsy's sauces. Later tonight, The New York Pops - a symphonic orchestra known for presenting popular programs of exceptional quality - will launch its 32nd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with All You Need is Love: The Music of The Beatles. Music Director Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a 'polished, welcoming host' who is 'young and vigorous, with a playful attitude' - will lead the orchestra in an opening night celebration of The Beatles' greatest hits recreated by the acclaimed Finnish vocal ensemble Rajaton. The concert will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's arrival in America. Concertgoers can expect to hear fresh renditions of Beatles songs including 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,' 'Yesterday,' 'She Loves You,' and 'Let It Be,' among others.
