Together with her husband, award-winning composer Martin Silvestri, Christine fashioned a warm, witty, and beautiful evening of music drawn from the American songbook and Broadway. The program also included some very personal original songs, performed with an energy that can only evolve with the intimacy of a 22-year-old musical relationship.

Regina Gil founder, and Caroline Sorokoff Director, had a surprise for Film Festival patrons last night. Hugh Grant one of the most well known actors in the world decided to check out the Gold Coast International Film Festival, which is in it's fourth year successful year. Needless to say, the seats were filled at the Soundveiw Cinema in Port Washington as this international movie star and producer shared his views on many topics.

Friar Stewie Stone in introducing Friar Dominic Chianese said, "if you are a Friar you are not a member of a club, you are a member of a family!"

Peter LeDonne and Jamie deRoy were again broadcasting from Patsy's Restaurant and this weeks guests included Collin Kelly- Sordelet the 19 year old Montclair, NJ resident who plays Tom & Young Gideon in Sting's new Broadway musical THE LAST SHIP. Also on the program was Manny Kladitis, the founder and president of Niko Companies LTD, a group of theatrical and management Companies. After Jamie deRoy gave her run down of upcoming night life in NYC there was some serious "pillow talk" with the famous Mike Lindell the inventor of "My Pillow". Peter & Jamie were wide awake for his interview having noted they slept on a "My Pillow" the night before and were very well rested.

Musical Mondays continued at Le Cirque with last night's performance by Matt Baker & Nicholas King. The music starts at 7:30 every Monday as Sirio Maccioni welcomes friends and guests at his renowned Le Cirque. The casual bistro Le Cirque Cafe offers a remarkably well-priced menu. Appearing in the Cafe on Nov. 17will be Jim Altamore. Cole Rumbough returns on Nov. 24.

Singer and Broadway star T. Oliver Reid leads what he describes as "a club hopping journey through the swanky clubs and low down joints of 1934 Harlem," featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, Andy Razaf, and more. Last night, legendary vocalist MARILYN MAYE will brought her own style of jazz & show-biz to Iridium NYC, joined by the legendary BUCKY PIZZARELLI, for TWO NIGHTS ONLY, November 5th & 6th at 8:30 & 10:30pm. The reunion of these two 'Tonight Show' alumni is bound to be a musical party. Ms. Maye appeared on 'The Tonight Show' a record 76 times, more than any singer & Mr. Pizzarelli was an original member of 'The Tonight Show Band,' playing with Skitch Henderson.

Wetrock Entertainment presented performer/writer/jazz vocalist Andrea Frierson in 'me & ella,' at 54 Below last night. "me & ella," is a musical journey back to the beginnings of a young singer enamored with Ella Fitzgerald, set against a backdrop of New York City in the 1960's. Part memory play and part tribute, 'me & ella' is both a singer's coming of age story, as well as a valentine to the First Lady of Song. Written and performed by Ms. Frierson with musical arrangements and musical supervision by Ron Abel and direction by Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel, 'me & ella'

Joy Behar visited Backstage with Peter LeDonne to talk about the upcoming opening of her new solo play, "Me, My, Mouth and I" which is written and performed by Joy. It will have its world-premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Previews begin Thursday Nov. 6 prior to an official opening which is set for Sunday, Nov. 23. The production will play a limited 7- week engagement through Dec. 21.

Last night at the Austrian Cultural Forum on 52nd Street a play by the most performed present day author in the German language was presented. Gabriel Barylli who was born in Vienna and works as an author, director and actor all over Europe was on stage to introduce his work called Butterbrot in German, which has had more than 150 productions throughout German speaking countries.

The Gold Coast International Film Festival began its seven-day run on Nov. 3rd. It will feature more than 40 short films, art films foreign films and appearances by filmmakers. In just its fourth year, the festival has grown so large and so popular that it will need theaters in Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn and Port Washington to accommodate all of the screenings and doings.

The holiday season seems to have started early as Billy Stritch & Jim Caruso started another segment of their Carlyle residency Sunday evening, and for the folks in Bemelmans Bar it seemed like the unofficial start of the holiday season. The performance recipe are the duo's well honed talents and incomparable musical entertainment abilities that have long been a New York City institution of sorts.
