Disney Exec Harry S. Gold Dies at 50October 21, 2008After fighting a long battle with cancer, theater executive Harry S. Gold died on October 10, 2008. He was 50. As the executive director of business and legal affairs for Disney Theatrical Productions, Gold oversaw the company's musicals on Broadway and internationally, managing the business and legal affairs of such hits at THE LITTLE MERMAID, MARY POPPINS and THE LION KING. He joined Disney in 1997.
