Steppenwolf Theatre Company launches its Steppenwolf for Young Adults 2008-2009 Season with The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov. The production, featuring James T. Alfred, Shanesia Davis, Anthony Fleming III and Nambi E. Kelley, runs October 21 - November 9, 2008 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre.

The Chichester Festival Theatre production of CALENDAR GIRLS will open at the Noël Coward Theatre in London's West End on Saturday 4 April for a 12-week limited season, running until 27 June.

IN THE HEIGHTS, the winner of four 2008 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will play holiday performances for the Halloween, Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and News Years holidays at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street), with added performances at 8pm on Monday October 27, Monday November 3, Monday December 22, and Monday December 29, and at 2pm on Friday November 28, and Tuesday December 30.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced that 18 local young performers have been chosen to star as the 2008-2009 Pittsburgh CLO Mini Stars. Pittsburgh CLO Academy has announced that Broadway veterans Michael McGurk and Gina Philistine will teach a master class for students at the Academy's annual Musical Theater Extravaganza from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 2.

The West Bank Café announces upcoming performances to be presented in The Laurie Beechman Theatre. The West Bank Café is located at 407 West 42nd. St., at Ninth Avenue.

Metropolitan Playhouse presents Anna Christie, by Eugene O'Neill, at the theater (220 E 4th Street) November 14th through December 14th, 2008. Directed by Robert Kalfin, the production features Sam Tsoutsouvas, Jenne Vath, and Roger Clark as Chris, Anna, and Mat.

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's new initiative devoted to producing work of emerging playwrights, directors and designers, will produce STUNNING, a new play by David Adjmi, directed by Anne Kaufmann, as the second offering of its inaugural season. STUNNING will be presented June 1 - 27, 2009 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project, (229 W. 42 Street).

New York Stage and Film (SAF) looks ahead to their upcoming 25th anniversary with their annual winter gala on November 10th at 6:30pm at Capitale (130 Bowery between Broom and Grand Streets). Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick and Douglas Harmon will be honored for their ongoing commitment to live performance and support of SAF.

The Old Vic announced a new line up of productions for 2009 that will begin in January with the World Premiere of the new play, COMPLICIT by Joe Sutton and directed in-the-round by Kevin Spacey. Following the hugely successful The Norman Conquests, which runs through to late December 2008, the new program brings further diversity and originality to one of London's oldest theatres.

Las Vegas Little Theatre has announced their New Works Competition. The winning play will be produced as part of LVLT's Fisher Black Box Season and a cash prize will be awarded by to the winner.
