On October 9, for one night only, Mari Kimura, inventor of Subharmonics for the violin, will perform four new works for violin, electronics and integrative graphics in the culminating event of the New York Electronic Art Festival (NYEAF) at Roulette Performance Space, 509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn. Her concert is titled 'Eigenspace' after its centerpiece composition, a work of that name for Augmented Violin and Interactive Graphics composed by Kimura. It was commissioned by Harvestworks and features interactive graphics by Tomoyuki Kato, a noted Japanese visual artist and film director.

NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, the Off-Broadway League and media partner Time Out New York, today announced two-for-one tickets to more than 25 participating shows in the fall during Off-Broadway Week. Tickets go on sale September 5 for Off-Broadway performances from September 26 to October 9. Off-Broadway Week, formerly called On the House, is part of the Get More NYC campaign and returns this fall for the fourth time. In 'Dirty Shorts,' a one night special event, two bawdy stories he wrote that celebrate sexual fulfillment as political expression will be read by actors for the first time at this year's Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival - Double Exposure: Past and Present.

GINGER ROGERS, the Academy Award winning screen legend from the films 42nd Street, Top Hat, The Gay Divorcee and dozens more, would have been 100 this year. She will be celebrated with a live performance and an exhibition of her archive and memorabilia created in celebration of her life and career as one of America's most luminescent and talented motion picture actresses. The special exhibition opens at Boston's Mugar Library Building on Monday, October 24. Hosted by Nick Clooney, the event will feature an appearance by special guest Angela Lansbury. The live performances will debut at the Tsai Performance Center (October 24) in Boston and the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline (October 25).

More than five years after its debut, the musical Jersey Boys continues to bring audiences around the world to their feet with the rags-to-riches tale of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. A global phenomenon, the record-breaking production has won awards for Best Musical on three continents, including the 2006 Tony® Award, while the platinum-selling Original Cast Recording album won a Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album in 2007. To celebrate the holidays, members of the award-winning Jersey Boys casts around the globe have come together to record a selection of Christmas classics in the style of The Four Seasons. This marks the first time that a Broadway show has released a holiday album.

'The most important music is in your head' was the philosophy of Florence Foster Jenkins, an infamous eccentric singer whose unique climb to fame in the 1930's is depicted in the comedy 'Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins', Cortland Repertory Theatre's final summer production.

A.R.T. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) will present The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, opening the A.R.T.'s 2011-2 season tonight, August 17 at the Loeb Drama Center. The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, by George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward, and Ira Gershwin, is adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and Diedre Murray, and directed by A.R.T. Charlestown Working Theater and Whistler in the Dark Theatre join forces this September to present a special two-week festival featuring encore performances of two highly acclaimed productions. All the Journeying Ways, running from September 14th-25th at the Charlestown Working Theater, will feature the CWT's two-actor interpretation of The Odyssey and a re-explored version of Whistler's 2009 season production of The Bacchae.

-Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) returns as the title characters' sinister nemesis, Dr. Blowhole, in Nickelodeon's brand-new Penguins of Madagascar special, 'Blowhole Strikes Back,' premiering Friday, Sept. 9, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The hour-long special features Harris performing in four original musical numbers, two of which he is singing alongside The Penguins of Madagascar characters. The series recently garnered six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Children's Animated Program, Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program (Danny Jacobs) and Outstanding Writing in Animation. Year to date, The Penguins of Madagascar ranks as one of the top five animated series on all TV with kids 2-11.

The creative team behind the acclaimed production of Parade at Southwark Playhouse are reunited for a major revival of Noël & Gertie, Sheridan Morley's hit play about Noël Coward and Gertrude Lawrence, that originally ran in the West End for nine years.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Tony Award-winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt), two-time Emmy Award nominee Janel Moloney ('The West Wing') and film and TV veteran Joyce Van Patten will join the upcoming cast of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore, beginning Wednesday, September 7 and playing through Sunday, October 2 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

A dynamic lineup of stars - including a U.S. veteran, an NBA champion, a film and TV star, a TV host and journalist, a Grammy-nominated singer, a supermodel, a reality TV star, a showbiz legacy and activist, and a World Cup star -- will take the stage for the two-hour season premiere of 'Dancing with the Stars,' MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Actor on a Box is a series of school holiday shows designed to introduce the magic of theatre to the youngest audiences aged 3 and up. Combining one actor, classic storytelling and physical theatre these fun, intimate and interactive performances will be staged at the Richard Wherrett Studio, Sydney Theatre, from 21 September to 30 September, after it was a hit with little and big people when it was first presented in 2010.
