TRACES, the urban circus that has been a hit with critics and audiences alike, will transition from a limited engagement to an open-ended run at New York's Union Square Theatre (100 East 17th Street). BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the musical adaptation of Tim Burton's BIG FISH, will hold a private industry reading next week in New York City. As previously announced, the show, which was initially aiming for Broadway in spring 2012, is now set to open in spring 2013.

Audiences are following the yellow brick road over the rainbow to see Danielle Hope, winner of BBC TV's Over the Rainbow, play Dorothy at The London Palladium, the capital's home of the family musical. Announced earlier this week was news that Lin-Manuel Miranda will star as 'Charlie' in the upcoming Encores! production of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. Reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton has invited legendary singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins to join him during a performance of the classic hit 'Footloose' as the opening song for 'The 45th Annual CMA Awards.

Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel announced that the American premiere of THE ANARCHIST, the new play about politics, money, religion and sex, written and directed by DAVID MAMET. The production will star two-time Tony Award winner PATTI LUPONE, who has previously appeared in Mamet's The Woods, All Men are Whores, The Blue Hour, The Water Engine, Edmond and The Old Neighborhood and three-time Emmy Award winner LAURIE METCALF, who was nominated for a 2008 Tony Award for her performance in Mamet's November. THE ANARCHIST, which marks the sixth collaboration between Richards, Frankel and Mamet, will open on Broadway in Fall 2012.

According to published reports, London's Donmar Warehouse has just announced the 2012 line-up. Josie Rourke, who will take over for artistic director Michael Grandage, will direct George Farquhar's The Recruiting Officer, which runs February 9-April 14. Peter Gill will helm Robert Holman's Making Noise Quietly, which runs April 19-May 26; and Rourke will then direct Friedrich Durrenmatt's The Physicists, which runs May 31-July 21.
