Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, organizers of Times Square New Year's Eve, today announced that there are 19 days left for the public to submit their New Year's Eve wishes at the Times Square Visitor Center, located on Seventh Avenue between 46th and 47th Streets, or online at www.TimesSquareNYC.org. Wishes collected at the Center and online will become part of the confetti that flutters down at midnight in Times Square on New Year's Eve 2012. Stars who have contributed personal wishes to help celebrate the countdown to 2012 include Mayor Bloomberg, Robert De Niro, Jessica Biel, Matthew Broderick, Abigail Breslin, Hot Chelle Rae, Brian Williams, Sanjay Gupta MD, Wendy Williams, Carson Daly, and Jake T. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has scheduled two American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted performances and one audio described performance of the family production of The Snow Queen and two ASL interpreted performances and two audio described performances of the world premiere production Wild Swans based on the bestselling memoir by Jung Chang. The producers of LEAP OF FAITH, the new musical based on the Paramount Pictures film, have just announced new members of the creative team for the production that will have its Broadway debut in the fall of 2012 at a theatre to be announced. With music by Academy and Grammy Award-winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, LEAP OF FAITH will star 4-time Tony Award nominee Raúl Esparza as conman Jonas Nightingale.

CATS celebrated its 30th anniversary on May 11, 2011, holding its place as the longest continuously touring Broadway musical in history.

Surflight Theatre, the long-time popular summer theater on Long Beach Island has emerged from Chapter 11 and plans to mount their 63rd season of shows beginning in April 2012, the theater announced today. Ten months after it filed for bankruptcy protection, Federal Bankruptcy Judge Michael B. Kaplan confirmed Surflight's plan of reorganization on December 8 and the Theater will successfully emerge from Chapter 11.

Host Robin Roberts visited Alicia Keys and the cast at the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street) to talk about this exciting new production that opened last week. Click here to watch the full interview. Broadway's Memphis will begin a new performance schedule starting January 3, 2012, which will include 7pm performances Tuesday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday evening performances will take place at 8pm, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

According to published reports, Ticketsmaster has just proposed a settlement in response to a class action lawsuit that was filed eight years ago. As a part of the settlement, Ticketmaster will credit cutomers who used their service in the past 12 years.

The world-premiere of Zayd Dohrn's play OUTSIDE PEOPLE, directed by Evan Cabnet and co-produced by Vineyard Theatre and Naked Angels begins preview performances December 21 prior to an official press opening of January 10 at Vineyard Theatre (108 East. 15th Street).The cast of OUTSIDE PEOPLE features Matthew Dellapina, Nelson Lee, Li Jun Li and Sonequa Martin-Green. According to the NY Post, Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan is intereste din writing a Broadway musical. Corgan told NYP at a recent performance of Broadway's Godspell, 'I want to be a better songwriter before I try Broadway and I wouldn't allow one of my old songs [to be used]. If I do Broadway, I'm not coming to write three-chord rock songs."
