Barbra Streisand's private music vault holds all the master tapes she's recorded for five decades. Now, she's sharing 11 previously unreleased songs, spanning a cross-section of her career from 1963 to the present. The collection, titled RELEASE ME, is now available on vinyl and on CD (Tuesday, October 9). Signature Theatre has just announced a one-week extension for GOLDEN CHILD by David Henry Hwang, directed by Leigh Silverman. The production will now play through Sunday, December 9. The production will begin performances on October 23 and open November 13 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Very limited availability remains for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension week are $75 each.

Manhattan Theatre Club's production of a new version of Henrik Ibsen's AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes opens tonight at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Preview performances of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? begin this evening, Thursday, September 27, 2012, at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street). Opening night is set for Saturday, October 13, 2012, exactly 50 years to the day of the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962.

On Monday, SEPTEMBER 24, the National Touring Company of WICKED hosted "THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW", a staged concert performance of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show - Book, music & lyrics by Richard O'Brien. Held at The New Tropicana Las Vegas Historic Showroom, the event featured the company of WICKED. THE COMEDY is already one of the most talked about films since it bowed at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The film also played South by Southwest and is set for BAMcinemaFEST this June, it will be released in October 2012. Ryan and Brent Kunkle producing. Rough House Pictures, the Production Company of Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Jody Hill, and Matt Reilly attached themselves to the film during Sundance. Rock legend Stevie Nicks in collaboration with musical wizard Dave Stewart have co-produced and co-directed 'In Your Dreams - Stevie Nicks' a documentary portrait of the illusive Nicks as they embark on a musical journey to write and record the critically acclaimed album 'In Your Dreams'. The film will premiere at the 35th International Hamptons Film Festival on Sunday October 7th and at the 20th annual Mill Valley Film Festival on Friday, October 12th which has already sold out.

On Christmas Day, the highly anticipated film version of Les Miserables hits the big screen, and according to producer Cameron Mackintosh, there might be another Boublil & Schonberg musical coming soon after. According to Ohnotheydidint, Mackintosh recently revealed: "If Les Mis is a success then Miss Saigon will be made into a film. It isn't confirmed at this point but there are many people sniffing around and offers coming in."

As first scooped by BroadwayWorld.com, the legendary Barbra Streisand recently revealed in an interview with Katie Couric that she will duet with her son, Jason Gould, at her brooklyn concerts this October. On Gould's voice, Streisand revealed: 'When I heard the things he's recorded- the musicianship, the sound of his voice... it's like he has a little chamber music orchestra right in his vocal chords.'

The star-packed lineup for "The 46th Annual CMA Awards" launches with today's announcement that Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson and Little Big Town are the first group of performers confirmed for "Country Music's Biggest Night™." "The 46th Annual CMA Awards," hosted for the fifth year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, REBECCA's lead producer Ben Sprecher recently confirmed the receipt of new financial commitments from investors to alleviate the $4.5 million gap in the musical's budget. Now according to the New York Times, the cast of the show has been notifoed that rehearsals will indeed begin on Monday, October 1.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 204TH season with an all-new production of Broadway's five-time Tony Award-winning family musical, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN. Directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, this production will feature Philadelphia's very own Jeffrey Coon and Broadway's Jennifer Hope Wills. The cast also includes a live horse that will pull the Wells Fargo Wagon in the first act. THE MUSIC MAN begins previews on November 6th, opens on November 14th and runs through January 6th on the WST Mainstage.

Global recording artist and world's bestselling soprano, Sarah Brightman, released her new track "Angel" today. The recording is now available for free download via Brightman's newly launched website www.sarahbrightman.com. The track is taken from her highly anticipated new album "Dreamchaser," which will be released on January 22, 2013.
