ABC's Emmy® Award-winning talk show, "The View," continues its "Sweet 16" season with another exciting lineup of guests OCTOBER 1-5 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), including Queen Latifah and the cast of the new Lifetime movie, "Steel Magnolias"; actor Ethan Hawke, who'll discuss his new play, "Ivanov," and the film "Sinister"; and Jenny McCarthy, actress and author of the new book, Bad Habits. Amy Brenneman of ABC's "Private Practice and Jamie Gertz from ABC's new sitcom "The Neighbors" are the featured guests, OCTOBER 1.

For six weeks only, beginning Monday, October 1, a new female cast member from the blockbuster hit will take the DIVA! stage to prove that she's got what it takes to "Bring It On". Show times begin promptly at 11pm.

In a recent interview with the Globe and Mail, Broadway veteran Whoopi Goldberg chatted about what it's like being a Broadway producer. TV Land has ordered a cast-contingent presentation of the script 'Giant Baby' by Marco Pennette ('Ugly Betty,' 'Samantha Who'), it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. The comedy will star Kirstie Alley in the lead role of Madison 'Maddie' Banks, a Broadway star who finds her life turned upside down when Owen, the son she gave up for adoption 26 years ago, turns up looking to connect after his adopted mother has died. However, Maddie doesn't exactly see nerdy and schlubby Owen fitting in with her luxurious lifestyle. When her attempt to change Owen backfires, Maddie finds that perhaps they both could use a little change in their lives.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series debuted a new concept called "Portrait of an Artist," featuring actor/director/painter Steve Bakunas. The multi-talented artist conducted an intimate interview with actress Linda Lavin, while painting her portrait on the historic Birdland stage. Denver Center Theatre Company (DCTC) will present the world premiere of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, running April 5 - May 26 in The Stage Theatre. Accoring to DCTC's website, the show has securred an all-star design team, wich includes scenic design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Esosa, lighting design by James F. Ingalls and sound design by Craig Breitenbach. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, the show will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

As first scooped by BroadwayWorld.com, the legendary Barbra Streisand recently revealed in an interview with Katie Couric that she will duet with her son, Jason Gould, at her upcoming Brooklyn concerts this October. On Gould's voice, Streisand revealed: 'When I heard the things he's recorded- the musicianship, the sound of his voice... it's like he has a little chamber music orchestra right in his vocal chords.' Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith and Columbia University have just announced the establishment of significant theater award, The Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History (EMK Prize). Ambassador Smith has created the Prize to honor the life and legacy of her late brother, Senator Ted Kennedy. The first recipient of the EMK Prize will be announced on Senator Kennedy's birthday, February 22, 2013.
