Producers Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith and Ruth & Stephen Hendel have announced that Grammy Award-winning recording artist and former member of Destiny's Child Michelle Williams will join the national tour of the hit Award-winning Broadway musical Fela! when it opens at Sidney Harman Hall in Washington, DC on January 29. Fela! received three 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Choreography.

The Other Place, the new play starring Laurie Metcalf, is now in previews at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The Other Place will open Thursday, January 10. Second Stage Theatre presents the 2012 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, WATER BY THE SPOONFUL, written by Quiara Alegría Hudes, directed by Davis McCallum. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS begins its final 19 performances this week starting on Friday, January 4, 2013. There will also be a special performance this Sunday evening performance this Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 7pm.

According to a new update from the New York Times, REBECCA's lead producer, Ben Sprecher, is hopeful that the show might make it to Broadway in the coming 2013 season. He told the Times that he believes the necessary funds to mount the show can be raised because of 'the widespread publicity and notoriety surrounding the show after the fraud scheme was revealed.'

According to published reports, singer Patti Page Passed away yesterday in Encinitas, California. She was 85 years old.

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has announced the first performers for the 2013 spring season at the legendary Café Carlyle. In the upcoming season, the Café Carlyle will host Howard McGillen and Rebecca Luker, Amanda McBroom, and John Lloyd Young for back to back exclusive one week engagements. Woody Allen & the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band will also be returning as a Carlyle favorite.

Earlier this week, the New York Philharmonic was joined by Marvin Hamlisch's friends and collaborators, including Joshua Bell, Raúl Esparza, Michael Feinstein, Maria Friedman, Josh Groban, Megan Hilty, Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, and Frederica von Stade for a special New Year's Eve concert saluting the late composer-conductor. Paul Gemignani conducted and Lonny Price directed the performance, which was hosted by Audra McDonald.

Broadway favorite Caissie Levy will soon release her debut solo album, titled 'With You' whoch will be available soon, and on the album, Levy sings a Broadway classic- 'Without You' from Rent.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham; UTR Festival Director, Mark Russell) will begin performances for the 2013 UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL on Wednesday, January 9. Now in its ninth year, this acclaimed downtown festival committed to tracking new theater from across the U.S. and around the world will run for 12 days through January 20 at The Public Theater at Astor Place. Excluding Life and Times, all single tickets to UTR shows are $20; Member tickets are $15.

The critically-acclaimed 50th anniversary Broadway revival of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will play its 100th performance on Friday January 4th at 7:00 pm.
