CHAPLIN, a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin played by Rob McClure, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Christopher Curtis, opened on Broadway on Monday, September 10, 2012. Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow; Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway) directs and choreographs the production. McClure's past Avenue Q castmate Ricky Lyon and Joseph Siroa just visited the show and you can catch photos of the duo backstage below!

This past October, the Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) and Newtown Arts Company announced the return of the famed student theater festival competition to the newly reopened Playhouse next spring after an absence of two years. The BCP Student Theater Festival, produced by Newtown Arts Company and the Playhouse, will be open to participating middle and high schools.

The Off Broadway premiere of Emotional Creature, the newest play by Tony Award-winning playwright, performer, activist, and The Vagina Monologues author Eve Ensler, will end its limited engagement as scheduled on Sunday, January 13th. Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 204th season with an all-new production of Oscar Wilde's dramatic masterpiece AN IDEAL HUSBAND.This classic comedy, directed by Malcolm Black, begins previews on January 15th, opens on January 23rd and runs through March 3rd on the WST Mainstage. According to a recent tweet from Actors' Equity Association, as of January 7, AEA's new building entrance will be through Times Square Visitors Center (7th Ave. at W. 46th/W. 47th Street, between McDonalds & Palace Theater). AEA Offices, including Membership, Auditions & VITA are open, and sign-ups for EPA Auditions continue outside on W. 46 Steet, near the old building entrance.

According to the Star, a high school in Utah has cancelled a student production of All Shook Up because of a 'sexually suggestive song.' Rehearsals for the production had already begun but the Herriman High School announced that a different show would be selected due to offensive content.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of The Revisionist, written by Jesse Eisenberg and directed by Kip Fagan. Previously announced cast members Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will be joined by Daniel Oreskes.

Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Artistic Director) presents the first-ever American Production of Katie Roche by Teresa Deevy. The Mint production will run from January 26th to March 24th at their home (311 West 43rd Street). Opening Night is set for Monday, February 25th. Original Broadway cast members and creators from the landmark musicals GREASE, NINE and GRAND HOTEL will reunite on January 14th for "KATHI MOSS' RAMA-LAMA-DING DONG REUNION!" - a one-night-only benefit for The Actors Fund.

For generations, musical theatre writers have come to New York City to change the world. 'Once Upon A Time In New York City' is a concert series about the people who have changed THEM. After a sold-out first edition, the series returns to Joe's Pub on Sunday February 3 at 7pm. The concert will feature 15 world premiere songs.

Cuccioli who is currently starring in Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark will be appearing on WLNY's 'On The Couch' tomorrow morning, January 4 to perform a song from the album. Giving audiences an unbridled and candid look behind the scenes of the Broadway curtain, NCM(R) Fathom Events, Overnight Musicals and The Broadway League present 'One Night Stand: Creating a Play in a Day,' a unique one-night event broadcast to movie theaters nationwide on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. local time. This fast-paced, hilarious and entertaining film follows some of New York's top actors, including Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock, Glee), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) and Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live), as well as teams of writers, composers and directors as they are given 24 hours to write, cast, compose, rehearse and perform four short musicals. At the end of the 24 hours, the musicals make their opening, and closing, night at New York City's Gramercy Theatre. The event will also present exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the stars of 'One Night Stand' as they share intimate stories of life on Broadway.

The blockbuster musical WICKED has achieved an unprecedented Broadway milestone as it enters its 10th Anniversary year, becoming the first Broadway musical ever to remain the highest grossing production for a record-breaking nine consecutive years. Broadway In Chicago and the producers of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, announced today that tickets will be available for 14 additional weeks of performances of THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). A new block of tickets for performances June 4 - September 8, 2013 will go on-sale to the public on Monday, January 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets are sold out through March 3, 2013, with some tickets still available March 5 - June 2, 2013.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, today announced complete casting for the company's upcoming new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, to be directed by John Doyle (director of the acclaimed Broadway revivals of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company). Joining previously announced Melissa Errico (Clara), Judy Kuhn (Fosca) and Ryan Silverman (Giorgio) in the production are Stephen Bogardus (Colonel Ricci), Jeffry Denman (Lieutenant Barri), Jason Michael Evans (Private Augenti), Amy Justman (understudy), Ken Krugman (Lieutenant Torasso), Orville Mendoza (Sergeant Lombardi), Tom Nelis (Doctor Tambourri) and Will Reynolds (Major Rizzoli/Ludovic). PASSION is slated to begin performances on February 8, 2013 at CSC (136 East 13th Street), with an official press opening scheduled for Thursday, February 28, playing a limited engagement through Sunday, April 7. Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning at Noon on Thursday, January 3.
